What do people think would be the best supplement to the complement to the Atrium between the VO and VC?

I went crackatwoa. I’m thinking the character of the Atrium and the warmth/slam/bite of the C2a are going to underline the strengths of the Atrium. Can’t wait!! When I put the Atrium into my COS H1 vs the BHC it’s not even close - missing out on that “whipping bass” is too big of a loss.

What's peoples opinion on Bottlehead Crack, to use OG build or speedball add-on?

Beyond the immediately obvious there is planar vs dynamic sound and exposure to better headphones that can influence that opinion. I found the LCD-X great headphones at first, impressed by the planar bass. Then, once I heard better and got used to planar sound. I preferred dynamic sound much better.

To follow up. Turns out the clear MG I tried initially was broken. Trying a fully functioning one was quite a different story. Very slammy and sharp. Nothing like the HD580 and did not like it at all. STOP SHOUTING CLEARS 😅

I recently bought the Auteur from a dealer - the mesh seems to have come from underneath the grille and looks 'white' like glue. Anyone else have this? Any chance I was sold B stock?

Currently sporting the Auteur perf lamb pads. If I'm looking to get the most bass out of these without demolishing the quality of the sound too much - solid Eikon lamb? Or stick to perf Eikon lamb?

I briefly tried the Neve on the lcd-x and found it to be lacking in power. Given the -14db pre EQ. I didn’t notice a difference in power with my old objective2 odac. Although I did chain it a bit funny so that may have contributed. I switched to an RME ADI 2 FS and all good now.

So I've been giving the LCD-X a try. Love them on many genres, even without EQ. One thing that has become very clear, if the recording is done well these shine - if its a recording that doesn't agree with me it becomes very clear. EDM is fantastic to me on these. Stuff like Heilung.. god yeah...
