I like the XINHS HS01. Had it for a few weeks and it's a warm musical V with extended smooth treble. Comfortable semi-custom fit and good stage. Can"t see any vents but no pressure problems with them.

Juzear Clear is also worth a look. EPZ Q1 pro is under your budget and less bass focused. Possibly better for ambient. Both are sets that get grabbed in preference when I'm heading out of the house. Non-fatiguing for long listening sessions and enjoyable for a wide range of music. :L3000:

XINHS had a $10 coupon so I ordered the HS1, wish me luck! As I recall Akros looked at 1+2 and 1+4 hybrids from them a year or two ago, lets hope they haven't screwed this one up. Nicer looking face plate than the HS3 and HS6 anyway.:ksc75smile:

I have no driver flex at all with AQ4 but I do get some on the AQ0. As Baskingshark mentioned, it's tip dependant. If you don't want to shift bass balance with foams, I'd suggest trying Tangzu Sancai tips.

Large TRN T tips were a little small for me, they could do with an XL size.

Sancai work really well if you have problems with driver flex or pressure build up. Spring tips will make an IEM brighter. S&S give a really good seal and are very comfortable. Tennmak make very good foam tips. Good memory foam with slower rebound that doesn't seem to tear or breakdown as...

Tell him to use duct tape over his ears to get a better seal. It works best if you use one continuous 2" wide strip that runs across the front of your face under your nose. Facial hair, no problem!:smiling_imp:

Celeste Wyvern pro has been on sale for $15 including a detachable boom mic, 2 2 pin 3.5mm cable. Otherwise I think TRN, CVJ and Kinera have options. :ksc75smile:

PR2 is pretty good for the price it is now selling for. Foam tips will reign in the harshness in the top end if required. Most of the hate was generated by changes made after the initial release (and reviews).

Do you prefer treble or bass emphasis? CCA PLA13 is a basshead IEM, KZ PR2 is a much brighter tuning. :L3000: I prefer Tin Hifi P1 Max or Tangzu Wu Zetian over both.
