Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview
I have the 2/4. It’s powerful enough to drive LCD-5 with decent headroom, but it’s not an ideal pairing. Its typical studio interface sounds very true to source. If that’s your thing go for it. In that case it may even sound better than my UD-701n (Tube like sound in a solid state with forward...- Gaurav Tyagi

Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview
+1 For Holo Audio Bliss. I was using TEAC UD701n since January. Later on opted for Mitch Barnett convolution filter which made some dramatic improvement such as timing, rhythm and bass response. Very recently I upgraded to Holo Audio Bliss and it improved the stage considerably and I hear better...- Gaurav Tyagi

Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview
As an owner of old LCD models I just realised that the LCD5 doesn’t have the screw that can be tightened easily. I would like to know the solution to this problem as well.- Gaurav Tyagi

Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview
The sensitivity is usually measured at 1khz which is relatively easy to produce in comparison to low frequencies. Which directly means that more power is needed to produce bass. So sensitivity specs are in a way deceiving (from drivability perspective). Then comes the problem of low impedance...- Gaurav Tyagi

Teac UD-701N
I haven’t tried any of the new streamers from Matrix Audio but I have both the X-Sabre Pro MQA and TEAC UD-701n. I have extensively compared the two. The biggest difference is that no matter which setting I have on the TEAC, it never reaches to the point where I hear sibilance. It flirts with it...- Gaurav Tyagi

TGXEAR discussion thread.
I have the same impressions. It also scale extremely well. I loved it on DX320 but on TEAC ND-701n it’s just majestic.- Gaurav Tyagi

Have you tried Perpetua on DX320? If yes would you be able to draw a comparison between DX320 vs N7 and/or LP6Ti?- Gaurav Tyagi

Hey! Nice to see another KSE-1200 lover. Many find that too bright but I didn’t. On white, blue and violet noise I hear that 8khz ringing with Perpetua as well. But a tip change mitigated it by a significant margin. This is a FiiO HS9 tip and the cable is Lavricables Grand with Rhodium plating...- Gaurav Tyagi

I absolutely agree. Funny though because I actually bought it blind and while it was on the way, I got the opportunity to try out @Sajid Amit ’s unit. Sounded a bit dull (due to the cable) but still very pleasing. All in all money well spent. I strongly recommend, someone who gets a chance to...- Gaurav Tyagi

It’s really criminal that Perpetua is not popular among the audiophile circles. I have a theory why this is the case. It doesn’t have an immediate wow factor. My father preferred ie600 to it in a quick A/B. But after a while I had to pull it out of his ears lol. It’s a slow burn after 15-20 min...- Gaurav Tyagi

Dita Audio Perpetua: the new Emperor
I just upgraded to Lavricable Grand cable. Sounded very bright initially but after say 60 hours, the sound has settled. Still bright but not peaky, the 7-8khz peak seems smoother. The attack and bite has become sharper. Bass has more texture and depth. Music rendering seem to be “real” in...- Gaurav Tyagi

The initial batch was made in Germany but the rest afterwards were made in Ireland. The one I have is made in Ireland . I read you mentioned you got it touch with Sennheiser, what do they have to say about all this?- Gaurav Tyagi

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk
Price-value is always a tough one. It doesn’t bother me a whole lot if I get a chance to audition first. So try before you can make a decision. The driver is small but it is irrelevant because it pushes sound to a Helmholtz resonator which eventually filter the sound out of a vent then filtered...- Gaurav Tyagi

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk
Yes I have and they carry different presentation not that one is better than the other. The ie600 is a little warmer and has meat to the leanness of ie900 presentation. It also has more air freq so feels faster in transients in comparison to ie900. Where as ie900 has deeper bass and is a little...- Gaurav Tyagi
