Dan Clark Audio Stealth Review, Interview, Measurements
Noise floor is something measurable and is objectively a strong point of the a90. Although that perceived ""cleanliness"" is a whole different deal.- TubyAndWobbly

Burson Soloist 3X Grand Tourer Head Amp/Pre Amp w/Sub out - 10W XLR

Ferrum OOR - headphone amplifier with a soul ?
I hate to sound rude but have you checked for placebo? I'd imagine if you're getting a high end psu like the hypsos it should be able to account for an imperfect source of power.- TubyAndWobbly

If you already have the susvara I'd keep it. It still is the winner between the two 9 time out of 10. Even if the stealth does get pretty damn close.- TubyAndWobbly

+1 on the chord tt2, I haven't listened to too many high-end amps on the stealth, but it's really hard to believe it could get much better than on the tt2.- TubyAndWobbly

Dan Clark Audio Stealth Review, Interview, Measurements
I think they respond pretty poorly to tubing them as they're already a little too soft on the low end, the highs are already as non fatiguing as you can get, and they generally appreciate large amounts of overhead power similar to susvara, albeit to a lesser degree, which is not easy to get on...- TubyAndWobbly

Ah, the comfort issue makes sense, but was told by someone it is possible to tighten the elastic on other dca cans, not sure how, but I'd check to see if it's possible with the stealth before selling.- TubyAndWobbly

Dan Clark Audio Stealth Review, Interview, Measurements
That's a pretty fair assessment, but I would add, is that the stealth does have quite a bit more going for it than the LCD 5 outside of sound quality. The better comfort, being $500 to $1100 cheaper, and the isolation is pretty easy to miss on the lCD 5. I actually ever so slightly prefer the...- TubyAndWobbly

Dan Clark Audio Stealth Review, Interview, Measurements
Honestly I don't blame them, it's so hard to put a numerical value on the performance of a headphone, especially with some thing like the stealth which is closed back. Either way you ignore that extra 5% better sound quality with an LCD 5 or ignore the added isolation, not sure you can really...- TubyAndWobbly

Pathos Inpol Ear Headphone Amplifier
Huh, I suppose I'll have to take your word on that, I'm at the point where I still have a pretty clear upgrade path so I don't have to try more esoteric upgrades *yet* but I guess I'll keep it in mind a year or two down the line lol.- TubyAndWobbly

Dan Clark Audio Stealth Review, Interview, Measurements
Keep in mind they do respond it's pretty well to EQ, so if you don't mind doing that, they still aren't GREAT for metal, but I still think you could do worse, lol. Either way though, it's definitely a weak point and is a pretty valid reason to skip by the stealth.- TubyAndWobbly

Yeah I wouldn't doubt if that was the case, imo stealth is about as "touchy" with sources as my hd800- TubyAndWobbly

Audeze CRBN Interview, Review, Measurements
It's reasonably good, the only real complaint I have is that the pressure is unevenly shifted to the front of the pads. The drivers probably won't touch your ears, but knowing that the utopias can sometimes touch makes me a bit hesitant to say one or the other for certain.- TubyAndWobbly

Dan Clark Audio Stealth Review, Interview, Measurements
I had a pretty similar experience, but I do have to say they both isolate pretty damn well, so unless where you're listening is extremely loud, I honestly can't say that touch of more isolation will do anything in most cases.- TubyAndWobbly

Audeze CRBN Interview, Review, Measurements
Does anyone here have experience with JR audio? They're sold through either myheadfi.com or their eBay store. They claim to be selling KGSSHV carbons for under 3k US, which seems a little too cheap to be real. Would love to pick a pair of these up, but I can't see my self being able to spend the...- TubyAndWobbly
