Turn the volume down when doing the I2s configuration, there are some nasty sounds on the wrong settings.

I suggest AES. Especially since Aquarius doesn’t have a bnc connection for spdif like Lumin has. RCAs are not optimal for digital.

Removing the circuit board of the Pegasus is a pain. The transformer is firmly glued to the bottom and its wires are very thin and break easily. I know cause I wanted to remove the original feet.

Your setup isn’t complete until you get a proper equipment rack with no stacking😄.

Buy an aluminium plate to cover the front. Attach with double sided tape. No display, no blackness.

I went as far as replacing the transformer with a Hammond 229D16 split bobbin type which I happened to have. It’s 8V 48VA and doesn’t radiate as much as toroids. I still housed it inside the U18 though. Result was positive, blacker black, less noise.

Unfortunately almost all Chifi brands recommend equal amperage for 230 and 110 V. They do it for convenience but create a problem for the high voltage regions which naturally should use smaller fuses.

Those cubes are putting unnecessary weight on the circuit board. Solder is not exactly flexible, especially lead free solder and the ubiquitous ceramic smd caps are prone to minuscule flex cracks. They are very hard to see.
