Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

I've been using the defean pads for months and they're great for me. I got the cooling gel version with silky fabric option. They are a bit thicker than stock, but compress easily. I didn't have to adjust my headband from the medium setting. The cooling effect doesn't last long, but these don't...

iFi Audio Asks... What (Product) Should We Make Next?

Go Blu successor, but with the following: Support latest BT LE, low latency codecs, and include a USB dongle (PS5, PC). Needs to be dual mode to support connection of BT and USB dongle at the same time. 3.5mm TRRS headset support The idea is to be able to connect a 3.5mm wired headset to it...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

I generally don't notice it much when playing since there's game or chat sounds also going. It's been a year now and I wouldn't expect it to be fixed. I don't think continuously exchanging pairs is the answer. If Audeze told you the noise is normal then I'm not sure what you're expecting.

Mad Lust Envy's Headphone Gaming Guide: (8/18/2022: iFi GO Blu Review Added)

Same, I've had my Modmic Wireless for 3.5 years and still use it periodically. Though since getting Maxwell in February I've only used it a few times. I think I posted some pics a few pages ago with the Modmic Wireless attached to a Koss setup. Basically KSC75 drivers with grado style pads on...

Awww man, that is terrible. Thieves are rampant this time of year. Hopefully you can get some resolution and not be out of pocket for the theft.

I wanted to wait a few weeks before posting this to give my impressions. I never do like posting about a product until it's been put through some use. I've been using the Corsair Xeneon 27" OLED monitor. Three weeks on it now, and I sit in front of it for 40+ hours a week. The text fringing...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

I've had zero dropouts or clicking noises in mine and I've been using them on PS5 since late February

I bought the DeepCool AK620 because it's what Micro Center had when I picked up the rest of the parts for my build. It was relatively cheap but the fans had a noticeable & annoying pitch to them, even though they were technically quiet in regard to dB. I replaced the DeepCool fans with Noctua...

LOL now Valve is releasing an OLED version of the Steam Deck. Dang, I should have waited. Supposedly 90Hz, larger battery, Wi-Fi 6E

LOL that did not look effortless at all to bend that screen. As someone who uses adjustable/extendable monitor arms, I think it would be tricky to flex the monitor in either direction without also pulling or retracting the arm it's attached to. The reviewer seemed like he was exerting some...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

Yep, I've had them for a little over a week. Solid upgrade for me compared to stock. I got the cooling gel version with silky fabric option. They are a bit thicker than stock, but compress easily. I didn't have to adjust my headband from the medium setting. The cooling effect doesn't last...

Thanks. After viewing multiple vids of the current 27" OLEDs, they're just not bright enough. I mean I don't want anything eye-searing, but I do at least want HDR to look decent. It's too dark in HDR content on the reviews I've seen. Shame. I also just read that Alienware is releasing a...

I mean the non-standard OLED subpixel layout that causes text fringing in Windows, low brightness, aggressive ABL. I think the two choices for me right now are LG and Corsair. Both use the same LG panel. Asus also has a model but it uses HDMI 2.0 so it's not an option for me. I'm strictly...

Is anyone using one of the 27" OLED monitors? Curious to hear thoughts on them from users here. I want to switch from IPS, not sure the OLED tech is there yet at 27".

    Is Head-fi Dying?

Yeah. Audio in general, diminishing returns starts rather low in the MSRP. There's so many products released now from brands I'm not familiar with, yet here they get hyped to no end. Then next month it's a new flavor of something else from XYZ brand, with a review stating "the detail...

Thanks. That makes sense for keeping the Ally. I agree the dpad on the Deck needs work. Oh yeah, I've read about the SD card issues on the Ally. That's a bummer. I really want a 2TB drive for my deck, but I think I'm done spending money on it for now. I have the 256GB version. An SD card...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CGWFBVXQ?psc=1 I purchased these pads. We'll see how they do. From the user reviews, the general consensus is these are less dense than the WC cushions and compress more, and the ear openings are somewhat larger as well.

iFi audio GO blu - Super small. Super light. Super Sound.

Are there firmware notes for the updates? I've had mine almost a year, no problems with it. I'm just curious what the firmware updates improve upon.

https://www.reddit.com/r/MSI_Gaming/comments/sohx6i/replacing_gungnir_110r_glass_front_panel_with/ This suggests you can at least remove the right side insert of the front panel by removing a few screws. The 5:42 mark in the video you posted sure looks like it would be possible. I'd try that...

Thanks for the advice. I came across a good deal on a 28" 4k 144Hz and couldn't pass it up. Acer Predator, model XB283K. Acer has them certified refurb at a great price right now on their ebay store, and I was able to stack 25% off on top of that. Cost wasn't much more than another 1440p...

I gotcha. I'll wait for reviews of the Legion and some firmware updates to happen before I decide. Yes, Linux is not my jam. I've tried other Linux variants for uses like a NAS OS or Plex server. Navigating the OS takes some patience, and reading a lot of tutorials. As an example, I wanted...

Last prime day is when I picked up the 2TB SN850X, but direct from WD since they had it cheaper than Amazon. I wanted the 4TB. I think it was backordered at WD when I looked, and the cheapest Amazon had it was $229 and I didn't want to pay that. The 4TB Corsair I mentioned I picked up open...
