In my opinion the stock silicon tips sounds best. This is also what i learned from my ie800. With the stock tips they have this unique soundstage at highs. The foam tips never sound that good to me. i tryed a lot, but always get back to the stock. maybe the spiral dots are on option, they look...

Thanks @FcConstruct and @lmf22 that will also help other users. I think the main difference will be the logo and the ie900 letters that are etched or brandet with a laser instead of printing. @VendettaRiich which size of the spiral dots do you have? can you messure the diameter or compare them...

Haven´t hearded the IE900, but i´m using the 800 with the Luxury W2 and my iphone. i like this combination. the fit is nearly perfect with the stock medium tips. i also try the comply foams, but the stock ones sound better to me. i thought about to switch to the 800s, but i think i will stay...
