    I've owned both at the same time and preferred the hd280. The clamping force of the v6 was too much for my larger than average head and I agree that they were trebly. I remember the sound of the 280s as being pretty faultless.

    a full-size pair of aiwas. I think they were called "xp-222" or something like that. I gave them to my older brother and he used them beyond pad extinction before getting some audio technica ath-anc7's (on my advice). My first headphones after coming here were the koss ksc-35's

I'd heard tons about the rp-21s and wanted to get them but they would...not...let me! they went on and on about how good the 681s were and set me up with a pair at a really fancy...

    Indiana Jones and the Kingdom.... 8/10 It felt like an Indiana Jones movie. I would've liked it better without the kid-sidekick angle which was obviously a big part of it, but it was good.

    Unbelievable... Koss KSC-35

    I also remember not noticing much improvement from the ksc35s to my ms1s. I was using them amped from the headphone out of a crappish source though and mainly for rock. Someone here once said that the ksc35 is 85% of what you can get from headphones. It hurts to think this might be true.
