Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics
I don't see the evidence many, let alone most or all, Xfis are shipping. "A few" might be the best descriptor at this point. Don't mean to emphasize my situation, but as a yardstick if they haven't got to my order placed 12 minutes into the first night of the first campaign there's likely high...- blessingx

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics
Looks like some Xfis are shipping. Great news. Just checked emails and I initially backed the Pulse (before upgrading later) under 13 minutes into the first night of the first campaign. Not sure how many snuck in earlier, nor how many of those upgraded to Xfis, but I should be pretty early on...- blessingx

Audeze EL-8: The EL-8 is a must-hear at CES 2015
My point was it's ridiculous to talk price independent of quality expectations. And ahistorical to use subsequent price drops to indicate complaints made at launch. I was on the beta test and spent time with them early post-launch and although there were a variety of opinions (and still are)...- blessingx

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics
In for one. Halfway to their goal in :30 and surprising few perk levels choosen. An awful lot of $199 and $239 'donations' though. Wonder what that could be?- blessingx

$350CAD HERUS: Asynchronous USB Audio 2.0, 24bit 352.8Ks/S, DXD and DSD64/128, 2.4VRMS Headphone DAC
Any other impressions (especially with Senns)? Trying to decide between this and the Geek. Draws for both. Like the pedigree and 1/4" of the Herus. Geek versions have the power.- blessingx

2013 Bay Area Headphone Meet & Headmasters (CAS4) Impressions Thread (8/9~8/11)
I was very impressed by The Abyss (though I've love their design to begin to focus on human heads), however I'm not sure I'd walk away with solid impressions of a 009 v. Abyss comparison with the Cavalli amp. Nothing against it, just I've heard the 009 sound better (say about 15 feet to its...- blessingx

APEX PINNACLE OR TWO OF THESE : ECBA & DNA STRATUS/ CAVALLI LG/ RSA DARK STAR
Have heard the Pinnacle several times, own the Peak-Volc and spent significant time with the Arete. Perhaps the most telling indication is a pro-Peak con-Pinn position. Sounds like a issue in the chain to me.- blessingx

Sennheiser HDVD800 Headphone Amplifier
Hopefully you're right, but keep in mind the motives of Grado, AT, Beyer, etc. were likely similar. And damn, I wish HF was more mobile friendly.- blessingx

Perfect Wave DAC Owner Unite
Quote: Probably stating the obvious, but the Bridge doesn't see a running instance of Slim/Squeeze Center/Server? My other streaming devices see the running server and can play back supported formats. Use it to play back WAVs on GoogleTV.- blessingx

Perfect Wave DAC Owner Unite
Seems the I2S v. NativeX SQ debate seems a bit cloudy, but as the Bridge is now most of the cost of the mkII upgrade, given the hypothetical situation of going just one direction, any words of advice? Streaming would most likely be majority case of input (either the SBTouch or Bridge), but who...- blessingx

Long awaited Smyth SVS Realiser NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE
Quote: Not to answer for Kiritz, but he may have thought along my lines (and was a response to my spdif post). If a spdif to hdmi adapter isn't a realistic solution (and it doesn't appear to be, though there are still a few - though surprisingly few - devices out there) and if...- blessingx

Long awaited Smyth SVS Realiser NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE
Quote: Hey Kiritz, as nice as the Oppo is at playing discs, even with networking it's a pretty poor computer. I'd hate to upgrade and loose useful content. I'm currently using a Sony/GoogleTV box as a feeder. Works for most services and WAV playback, but not ideal. Quote...- blessingx

Long awaited Smyth SVS Realiser NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE
For those looking to solve a similar situation as I - feeding the Realiser digitally from an audio source (Squeezebox, Airport Express, laptop, CDP, etc.), the Monoprice DVI & S/PDIF Digital Coax/Optical Toslink Audio to HDMI Converter does not work. Guessing it needs a video signal too, but...- blessingx

Anywhere I can legally download new album releases in 320KBPS and up?
MOG (or Spotify) Mobile allows you to download albums, in most cases (especially on MOG) 320kbps. As a service they aren't yours to keep though. Then again they're $9.99 a month.- blessingx

Long awaited Smyth SVS Realiser NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE
Quote: Thanks SS. It appears the hdmi input/output is the only option for what they're calling a "pass through," thus hdmi in (only digital in) and toslink out may result in a resampling. This somewhat makes sense - having a stable 24/176.4-192 optical signal is unlikely so some safe...- blessingx

Long awaited Smyth SVS Realiser NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE
Is anyone using a laptop, Airport Express, Squeezebox, etc.and a spdif to hdmi converter to load the Realiser through hdmi?
