Violectric HPA V280 - balanced headphone amp - impressions and discussion thread
Anybody compared balanced V280 vs V281? I know Violectric said that the amp are exactly the same, but I read somewhere that the V281 has a smoother treble and that V280 is a little more spacious. Overall V280 is 90% of V281. People who heard both can confirm?- tan29844

Audeze LCD-4
Hifiman = Release new model every year, called it V2 or SE Audeze = Different driver revision each year, same model Different marketing I guess, not sure which method is better... I met an LCD-4 owner who said his favourite headphone of all time is still a Pre Fazor LCD-3 he bought in 2012- tan29844

From your impression : Thick & Rich (LCD-4Z) --- Sweet Spot in Between (LCD-24) --- Neutral & Spacious (Susvara) Something like that?- tan29844

May I ask what made you ultimately picked the 4z over the regular 4? (or MX4 in case that you wanted an X upgrade)- tan29844

Wow man really looking forward to your comparisons! I'm coming from Hifiman and really thinking about getting one of the LCD lineup or the Empy. Wonder how LCD-24 compared to all of them :) Great photo btw- tan29844

It's pretty decent surprisingly, but you need an aftermarket if you want to go balanced. Anyone got recommendation for Arya balanced cable?- tan29844

Arya got more fun and full sound than the HE1000SE too right? And could you tell us how does the V2 compared to SE as well? Thanks! :)- tan29844

HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread
As far as value for the money, I don't think Audeze has anything to compete with the Arya at the moment. Unless they made their new LCD-24 below $2,000 which is unlikely. I'm curious has anybody here compared the LCD-4 directly with the Arya? Wonder how they perform against TOTL Audeze.- tan29844

Audeze LCD-4z - Impressions Thread
The concern isn't my neck, but the sweating and heat spots covering my ears. I live in SEA, so it's hot and humid all year. Lighter = less oily for me  (I imagine nobody wants their $3,500 pair of headphones to be oily) With that said, if the sound really hits the spot for me then I...- tan29844

Violectric HPA V280 - balanced headphone amp - impressions and discussion thread
1.) I'm only using the amp part from the Mytek Liberty Dac, and do not own any dedicated amp. There's no number indicator on the knob, but it can get decently loud if I keep turning. The Liberty is a simple box. It has nothing to play around for settings really, but I have to double check what's...- tan29844

Violectric HPA V280 - balanced headphone amp - impressions and discussion thread
Is there a noticeable difference going from a regular V200 to V280 Balanced? (I'm using Hifiman Arya + Mytek Liberty) Trying to make up my mind between buying V280 or V200 + Portable Dac/Amp. I'm a big fan of Violectric sound, and would love to hear from someone who experienced both amps! Thanks!- tan29844

Audeze LCD-X
True that. I already got the Arya which I heard is 80 - 90% in sound quality of the HE1000V2, so I'm currently looking for a warmer and thicker headphone to complement it. From memory, I love the X but never do an AB comparison between different LCD lineup. Figured I could get some useful info...- tan29844

Audeze LCD-X
- I listen to Classic Rock, Synth Pop, Jazz and Movie Soundtrack (Watching a lot of movies on a headphone too) - I like that Electrostatic fast sound with Planar Bass (Not sure if that's possible, but I heard Stax 007 does that) - Home listening only - I got a Mytek Liberty Dac + Hifiman Arya...- tan29844

HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread
Thank you! Originally I was gonna get the L700, but decided to go for the Arya because it's a better all rounder. Figured having something safe and neutral first, and either add something warm/lush or faster/brighter into the mix (or Both!) From my memory, the L700 = More intimate Arya + That...- tan29844

Thank you for your recommendation! Very appreciated, I've been eyeing the LCD-2F for a while, but the LCD-X might be a better choice for rock music and studio use. HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread
For those who don't wanna go all out on a home theatre system, Arya is a great substitute for watching movies. I was being transported into a war zone while watching Dunkirk and Apocalypse Now.
