No that sound is normal - it’s the volume pot. The sound I was hearing was a faint sound with no music playing. It would happen then go away. The sound from your video, from what I can tell is from the volume pot and normal for the Niimbus.

I also get the crackling noise in the right ear cup- different than the volume pot clicking sound. It usually goes away after a second or two and does not happen when playing music. Hopefully not a sign of any issues but it doesn’t seem to be.

Been enjoying my Niimbus US5 Pro for a year now. Have it paired up with a Utopia and Atrium, but inquiring any Susvara or 1266 Phi TC owners on their pairings with the Niimbus? I want bass that goes deeper than the Utopia/Atrium.

Unfortunately no, you might be able to buy second hand or pads from a place like brainwavz. You can try to remove the plastic piece from your old pads and attach the new pads to it. That’s what I’m planning to do when my pads go.

I think Nighthawk actually scale pretty well - not going to beat higher end headphones but will benefit from that extra power. Not sure you’ll find oem xlr but there are loads of options in the aftermarket. Just need dual 2.5 to xlr (same cable as the Sennheiser HD700 if that helps)

I had a pair of the ZMF Eikons in Zebra Wood - absolutely loved them for their bass and overall tonality. Really regret selling them! Gonna make up for it though with either the Caldera or Atrium.
