So 1.4 firmware just got released, but when I tried to download and install in on my R3 Pro Saber, it downloads OTA, tries to install, restarts, and its still on 1.3. I might try the SD card firmware install, see if that helps

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

My Hiby R3 pro Saber arrives in a few days, Ill be using my Fiio FH7 IEM with 2.5mm cable, wondering if anyone has tried the Dunu DK 3001Pro? I keep hearing good things about them, but unsure if it would be an upgrade, downgrade, or side-grade. I also hear the fit is a little better than the...

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

Yep, I think it's a conversation that will always pop up from time to time, as the audio world is full of tech that people find hard to comprehend, or things that people thing are snake oil, until you actually do some tests on your own. I was the same way, Use to think a higher quality cable...

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

I've done double blind tests with friends and co-workers, and found that balanced usually sounds better, how much better is relative, and its not just that power is usually higher from those outputs, there are many other factors that just make balanced sound better, I also record music at home...

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

Most DAP's just have a much higher power output via the balanced port, which is always a plus, and often also use both DAC chips from balanced ports, not to mention they generally just sound better

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

Ended up selling my Fiio M11, and have the R3 Pro Saber on the way, should arrive on the 25th, with a free brown leather case. Hopefully i'll be happy with it. I have a 256gb SD card, so will have to experiment with that and see what limit it hits first, 20,000 track limit or data limit. I...

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

Hey guys, Ive been using my Fiio M11 with the FH7 Iem for about a year now, love the setup, but I've found myself getting over lugging around the player, as it is quite big and heavy. Its fantastic to have stunning sound and 2 SD slots, but came here as I'm thinking something like the Hiby R3...

[FiiO M11] Android 7.0, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output, Exynos 7872, Dual AK4493 DAC chips, 3GB RAM, WiFi, Two-way LDAC

Apparently they have, (5. Fixed issue where there might be interference noise when waking up the player from standby mode) but it was tricky to get the player to reproduce this issue, I discovered it myself during a headphone burn in test, woke up in the morning to an awful sound.

[FiiO M11] Android 7.0, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output, Exynos 7872, Dual AK4493 DAC chips, 3GB RAM, WiFi, Two-way LDAC

Id say try the Hiby player app, I have actually been using over the Fiio music app, the MSEB function is very good at adjusting to your taste, file scan is very fast, and the EQ is pretty robust, free app and very much worth checking out.

[FiiO M11] Android 7.0, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output, Exynos 7872, Dual AK4493 DAC chips, 3GB RAM, WiFi, Two-way LDAC

Hey all, just wanting to double check, I see the new beta firmware is up here for download, does this actually address the loud static/tone issue that a few of us have addressed now? is there a change log for the new beta firmware? and I saw a comment about being able to roll back if the beta...

[FiiO M11] Android 7.0, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output, Exynos 7872, Dual AK4493 DAC chips, 3GB RAM, WiFi, Two-way LDAC

It is tricky to get a sample group, but 2 or 3 people so far on a single thread on 1 forum, means it may be an issue. Let's see what @FiiO have to say. Because it is an issue that doesn't happen all the time, it could be tricky to locate the cause, I listened to 3 albums last night with no...

Yeah thats what I'm thinking too, I just emailed the store I purchased from (Minidisc Australia) to see what they think may be the issue, as it seems to be something that cant be isolated. It sucks, as I want to listen to my player, but not worry about having my hands at the ready to put my...

[FiiO M11] Android 7.0, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output, Exynos 7872, Dual AK4493 DAC chips, 3GB RAM, WiFi, Two-way LDAC

Well damn, after hearing a fe others report this issue, I'm starting to have thoughts myself. Should I return my unit? can we get @FiiO to comment? I have been using the player just fine, but not that often recently. as I mentioned the first time I noticed it was when I was doing an IEM burn in...

Ahh I had this same issue the other day, but it was when I was using the 1MORE app to burn in my FH7's. woke up one morning and heard it doing the same noise, found out that if I turn off the all to DSD option it worked fine, so either an issue with all to DSD, or maybe a third parts app in my...

If you use the built in option for wifi file transfer in the Fiio app, it will only let you add tracks not actual folders, which sucks :(

Yep just how it is, lots going on under the hood of these players, so they will heat up, not an issue though.
