Mp3 Player Thoughts - Specific Podcast Need
All, I have a DuraXTP phone (flip - not using a smart phone due to expense and other reasons), which has an Mp3 player, and have also purchased an inexpensive Mp3 player made by AGPTek. Both are fine for music. However, in both cases, whenever I exit the program (Dura) or turn off the device...- MidwestAtty

Inexpensive Used Receiver
All, I am looking for a three-channel (LRC) + sub receiver for a basic "front-only" theater setup. I will buy used or new, but I don't need 35 channels and "streams from anywhere on Earth" capabilities that seem inherent in many of the bleeding-edge receivers. Any thoughts? --J.- MidwestAtty

Popular Classical Music
When I still ran a regular blog, I did a series of posts on different pieces of classical which I enjoyed. Here are links to the posts. Warning: the blog itself was more politically themed, but these posts are all about the art...- MidwestAtty

RCB, Thank you! I was raised in NC, but married a girl from South Bend area, so here I am. That recording was Sir Andrew Davis, with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, in Gloucester Cathedral, where the work was originally performed in 1910. That's said to be one of the finest recordings of the work...- MidwestAtty

It's amazing with just my Grado SR80s. I've not connected an amp, but I suspect that would be stunning.- MidwestAtty

The Crackles...Grado SR60 Headphones
Statics, and cut outs... I have a pair of SR60 headphones (no "i," no "e"...just SR60), which still work fairly well. The problem is that there is a disconnect in the "joiner" such that the right wire (from my PoV) will crackle and disconnect from the joiner. I have it clipped to the other wire...- MidwestAtty

Good morning, (EST / US) all, My name is Jonathan. I'm a lawyer and professor, living in Indiana. I currently have an older pair of Grado SR60s, and newer pair of SR80e headphones. I've been hooked on Grado since roughly 2000, and have remained so ever since. I've joined the forums primarily to...- MidwestAtty
