Audio-Technica ATH-R70x - In-Depth Review & Impressions
Hello. I have the same problem with my R70x. While I was going to clean my earpads, the inner foam ring got disintegrated and crumbled into dust, exactly like you've experienced. This is just within a span of 3 years after I purchased this headphone, so I agree that Audio-Technica could've done...- mono-type

Topping NX4 DSD or iFi Hip-dac ?
Dunno if you've already decided on what to buy since I just saw this now 2 weeks after you made this thread, but I'll still post here for the benefit of others who also are in a dilemma on what to buy. Don't go for Topping NX4 DSD. Sound-, price-, and features-wise, it's great. Durability-wise...- mono-type

[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future
Finally, the much awaited update has arrived. Nice to see some of the requested apps like Pulsar are finally being whitelisted. Nice to see Neutron and PowerAmp on the whitelist, too, though I wonder if we could ever use the paid versions of those apps....- mono-type

FiiO Music- The FiiO Music App for Android and IOS update now
So finally, a dedicated thread for the standalone FiiO Music Player app. I guess it's about time. It's also about time that I should address some of the issues the recent version have. Gapless playback does not work as it should when playing music through an external DAC/AMP like Topping NX4... -

Yeah, I agree. I would rather buy a smartphone + a DAC/AMP with that amount (maybe even less).- mono-type

[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future
OK I seemed to figure out the issue regarding gapless playback of the recent version of FiiO Music app. It seems like gapless playback doesn't work properly if you're using an external DAC like the Topping NX4-DSD. It does work, but only if you use the smartphone's internal audio. @FiiO please...- mono-type

[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future
Did gapless playback work fine on your end in the latest version of the FiiO Music app? Because it seems like it's not working properly even though I made sure that the gapless playback option is turned on. Also, the ticker text scrolling (when the song info is too long to show) seemed to be...- mono-type

[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future
I'm hoping that it would be worth the wait and the delays regarding that upcoming firmware update, or else I might have to sell my M6, as I've been thinking of selling mine as of late, too (haven't used it much lately, as I preferred using my Topping NX4 DSD + a smartphone; yeah it's a bulky...- mono-type

The All-in-one Thread to Address Any Inquiries to FiiO Product Lineup ,Future Plans,Product Functions and Features
Hope you fix gapless playback in the next update of FiiO Music Player app on Google Play Store. In version 1.1.2., while it's nice to see that the character encoding issues are now fixed (e.g. Ø, É, Ñ, etc. now displays properly instead of weird Chinese characters ), gapless playback doesn't... -

[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future
Well. hopefully @FiiO considered putting Pulsar in the whitelist in their upcoming firmware update, as most people (including me) have tested Pulsar via greenflash's modded APK file on the M6, and it's great so far. Would still like to see the likes of HibyMusic, even though its chances are...- mono-type

[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future
Just when I thought of selling my M6 (I prefer to listen on my Xiaomi Mi A1 + Topping NX4 DSD stack lately, and thus my M6 isn't used that much as of late), and then I read your post. I guess I'll keep my M6, then. :p Hopefully they fix the current version of FiiO Music Player app first (as in...- mono-type

[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future
The latest update to the FiiO Music Player app on the Play Store (Version 1.1.2) finally fixed all those glitchy Chinese characters issue (e.g. special characters such as Ø, Ë, Ñ, etc. are now displayed properly instead of random Chinese characters). Just tried it right now on my Xiaomi Mi A1 +...- mono-type

[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future
Still no news on a firmware update? They promised April, then May, but May is nearing its end, and I haven't seen nor heard anything. Looks like FiiO has its hands full on the M11.- mono-type

Didn't received any OTA update here either. From what @Lespectraal had described, it looks like FiiO uploaded a corrupt/incomplete firmware update from their servers, hence why they pulled it out. Hopefully FW 1.0.2 has the updated FiiO Music Player app from X7ii already, and more whitelisted...- mono-type

[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future
No idea, since I don't use playlists that much, and I've just began exploring on using this app. I have to agree that the Pulsar is really great on M6, and FiiO should seriously consider adding this app on the whitelist so we could install it "legally" and don't have to go to many hoops like...- mono-type

Nice, thanks for providing the modded apk, @greenflash! :joy: ! Indeed I want to try it "for science" since I'm kinda willing to take the risk in installing a spoofed app (although there's no much risk involved, actually, as long you know what you're doing). Good thing NetEase Music is one of...- mono-type

You're missing out, bro. 128GB, and even 256GB microSDXC cards are consistently dropping prices right now. You could even buy a 80MB/s Sandisk 128GB for around 15 USD right now, and around 20 USD for the 100MB/s ones.- mono-type

Yes, they should at least add Pulsar to the whitelist if isn't possible with HibyMusic (whatever reasons they have for not adding that to the whitelist), since as tested by @greenflash, Pulsar seemed to run decently.- mono-type

Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread
Oh, I've always thought KZ's "type B", as in the ones used in ZSR, AS10, ZS10, etc. are 0.78mm. I never knew until now that whether it's type A, B, or C, KZ is always .75mm. Guess I've stand corrected, then. :P- mono-type

Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread
I think the type A pin should be used on the CCA C10 instead of type B, since the C10 uses 0.75mm connectors, and the type B is 0.78mm. As @Leo-rume have said, once you used a 0.78mm plug on a 0.75mm connector, you can't go back on using 0.75 again, since it loosens the connectors. EDIT: Never...- mono-type

It's only natural that they wouldn't consider HibyMusic in the whitelist, since they are from a competitor, as I've said many times before (since Hiby also manufacture DAPs). Well, FiiO's own music app is good, but is plagued with some issues like the accented characters sometimes not displaying...- mono-type

Wow, FiiO Player 1.0.1 for X7ii definitely looks nice! Here's hoping they finally include it on the next FW update of M6. Pulsar's not too bad, either. Great looking player, too. :D Regarding JamesFiiO's explanation, I'm pretty sure he's referring to internal storage, not RAM. M6's RAM is only...- mono-type
