ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

Oof I would be thrilled with something like this

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

Yeah I am excited either way. The wait is the most difficult part, the anticipation always gets me. But I guess this go around I at least know what I am getting sound wise making it a little less stressful.

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

Ordered an eikon in the standard camphor. I know I will be happy with the headphones regardless but I hope to get some good looking grain given I plan to keep these for a long time. From what I can tell it varies quite a bit with this wood. I had previously owned a padauk eikon and ultimately...

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

I bought one of these https://m.ebay.com/itm/Solid-Base-Dual-Side-Aluminum-Desktop-Headphones-Stand-for-Beats-DNA-Bose-CHROME/351577675210?hash=item51dba995ca:g:z2IAAOSweuxWRSIE Feels solid and gets the job done.

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

Given that source components will add flavor to the headphones (some more than others) I agree that yes it is important to tweak your setup based on personal preference. With that being said, I think this is being blown way out of proportion. To me, the atticus sounds great on any decent...

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

The headband is super easy to bend giving you the ability to adjust the clamp. I have had zero issues with comfort after a little tweaking

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

I mean I don't have any other tube amps to compare to but I don't think you will be disappointed with the end result. Although that may depend on what dac you are feeding it with. I am currently using a theta ds pro prime ii. In my opinion this has more of an affect on the sound signature than...

Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV

So I picked up the Andromeda and love it. Thought I would stop in and ask what is out there in terms of portable dac/amp or daps that can handle how sensitive they are.

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

I don't think you would be disappointed to say the very least. Edit. Although when it comes to deep sub bass the atticus does have its limitations. Definitely doesn't extend as well as the eikon. However the eikon doesn't have the same punch to the mid bass.

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

I mean this really depends on the sound signature you prefer. The he400i is very different from the atticus in the way it presents music. If you like a lush mid-range with an overall warmth to it and a mid bass hump that really gives a punch, the atticus is for you. I previously owned the...

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

You will get different answers from different people, but I can't personally hear the difference between flac and say 320 or v0 when it comes to that. Most streaming services offer a decent bit-rate these days regardless. At the very least, all of the upgrades I have gone through have been...

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

Again, it really comes down to the individual. There are differences it really just depends how far you want to take it.

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

I mean you could always do "better". I obviously enjoy my home setup much more with the amethyst and nfb 1 amp but the mojo keeps me satisfied.

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

To be honest they aren't all that difficult to drive. That being said I use the mojo at work with both the eikon/atticus and it gets the job done.

LH Labs Geek Out v2+ Discussion Thread

Yeah, I tested all that out but from what I can tell there don't seem to be many people who actually have the thing. Or if they do there hasn't been much discussion about it. Just makes me nervous.

Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV

I have had the Vega for a few months now. The sound that comes out of it is quite impressive, however I do find the mids to be missing that something special. Definitely haven't been using them as much since I received my zmf eikon and atticus.

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

Been using both the eikon and atticus with my emotiva dc-1 and nfb 1 amp at home. For work I run them off a chord mojo. Really love both headphones equally for different reasons. Zach nailed it in my opinion.
