The thin side of the earpads should always face forward. Orientate your headphones accordingly and you'll know which is left and right.- manny49

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF
Would the Atticus or the Eikon compliment the HD800S best if I am after something with a warmer and bassier sound signature?- manny49

I think it's more to do with there is not enough room inside the cup for a deeper connector.- manny49

This does not look like surface cracking to me. But maybe it's the angle.- manny49

It's the wood underneath splitting causing the top layer of veneer to crack along with it. The last user who posted pics clearly showed the cup pretty much split in half. Also looking at the previous photos, it looks like on the M1060 the grain of the wood runs horizontally across the cup...- manny49

Yea I saw the pictures, one of them looks like it had a very even layer of darker material surrounding the cup. It sort of feels like a cheap Ikea desk when I run my finger across it.- manny49

Pretty sure the top layer of the cup is veneer? It certainly does not feel like wood to me. So I am not sure whether wood feed/conditioner would work on them?- manny49

Unfortunately for me, my set of M1060 has started cracking at where the headband system enters the earcups on both sides after 2 days. It's a shame that I have to send these back and will probably end up losing the £70 import duty I paid for them.- manny49

Impact Audio Cables have taken the listing for the MMCX Infinity cable down due to high amount of request from M1060 owners. He is unsure whether it would work with the M1060 so he does not want them offer them until it has been proven to work 100%.- manny49

I really don't understand why some people think a company like Monoprice that specialises in high volume sales, at low prices function the same way as boutique brands that charges a small fortune for their products.- manny49

I did notice the faulty connector's center hole was alot wider than the other side whilst fixing it. It's a shame really as I think it's keeper based off initial impression.- manny49

Took delivery of them today. Mine had the loose connector issue where it would cut out on the slightest movement. Was an easy fix using the tweezers method though and everything is solid now.- manny49

Thank you. Has anyone tried these with velour pads? Does the sound signature change much? I am not a big fan of leather as it gets too warm during long sessions.- manny49

Totally agree on what you said about the pads. The Audeze LCD pads are stuck down too but I don't see many people complain about them. I guess there's no way of creating a mounting mech on the wood cups? The high end Shure headphones such as the SRH1540 uses MMCX connectors also, not sure...- manny49
