so I'm looking to pack my pair up for shipment to send off to a new house (can't carry them/check through baggage on flight), does anyone know how exactly they fit back into this hardshell case?! they don't seem to fit very much at all without forcing them into what feels like kind of a tense...

damn today I noticed a very tiny chip in the wood on my left side :/ it's nearly impossible to see unless in direct sunlight    no idea how that happened

I have returned to say that I have absolutely no regrets and these are producing the best sounds I have ever heard, ever. I was going to upgrade from modi/magni stack soon but right now I feel no interest, I just want to listen to music and forget about gear   I am definitely in love

the internal struggle on if going jot specifically for the balanced dac is worth it

Has anyone used a supremesound lycan (http://www.ssaudio.com.au/lycan-op-amp-test-bench/) amp for their LCD-2s? I found a new one for a pretty good price (nearly 140 off retail) with the v5 opamps, i would likely just keep it as it is and none of the opamp rolling stuff. I was just going to save...

I'm not really into portable audio (never really in a situation where I'm listening to music while on the go) but I kind of want one of these things...really neat looking (and only $30)

modi/magni 2 (non-uber) stack, i definitely believe there is a lot of room for improvement a more powerful amp 

A couple weeks later: these headphones are producing the best sounds I have ever heard in my life

how does a jotunheim compare to a magni/modi 2 (non uber) stack? i intend on getting the balanced dac and cable to use with my lcd-2s

I don't know if it's my ears or what but sometimes it is way harder to distinguish deeper male vocals over instruments compared to say, my macbook speakers

Quick update, just decided to listen to my dt770s as I would with the LCD-2s (full listening sessions) again and this statement suddenly seems very untrue 

Usually the time I find them the least impressive is when I'll first start listening for the day; after listening for a little while I find them pretty fantastic to listen to. But I'll occasionally get too tripped up in that first period of time where I guess my ears still need to adjust(?) and...
