I started having problems with my Zero DAC. Had if for a few years and ran it with out any issues. But out of the blue it started acting up. I get this poping and crackling sound. DAP Repair
As of yesterday I have three portables with loose headphone jacks. I have a 30 gb ipod video, 60 gb iaudio x5, and a 8gb sansa clip +. Just can’t stop using full sized headphones and sooner or later it strains the headphone jacks and they stop working rite. You know what I am talking about...- tufflitestudios

AKG 271 Velour Pads worth it?
I was thinking about getting the velour replacement pads for my akg 271's. The existing pads aren't worn out at this point. I am wondering if it's worth getting these pads. Are they more comfortable? Do they get a better seal? Do they fit over your ear as apposed to on your ear like the stock...- tufflitestudios

Is your Headphone setup more expensive than your Speaker?
My wife and I both share a love for music. The only problem is that we like extremely different kinds of music. Headphones and talk radio are my solution to this problem. Needless to say my headphone rig is more expensive than my speaker set up.- tufflitestudios

Headphone recommendations for a 6 month old fetus.
I find this thread amusing for the most part and appreciate everyone's feedback. However, the assumption that my pregnant wife is going to be binge drinking, chain smoking, and doing lines while in a mosh pit is a little insulting. I assume warning against these things is meant to be helpful but...- tufflitestudios

Headphone recommendations for a 6 month old fetus.
Glad I asked. Any reason that playing music though speakers at a normal volume would be an issue for the fetus? Should we avoid going to loud concerts? I don't think the wife will ever go for this, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun talking about it. In that vein I still want headphone...- tufflitestudios

Headphone recommendations for a 6 month old fetus.
I am in the process of reading an interesting (and passably stupid) book on making your baby smarter. Fast forward to a fetal stimulation program and I am in the market for my baby's first headphones. So I am looking for a inexpensive pair of headphones that will fit on my wife's stomach with...- tufflitestudios

Sony MDR-V6 VS. MDR-V7506
I am looking for a full sized pair of closed headphones to do some audio editing and monitoring at home. These may make it out into the filed at some point so folding up and being durable are a plus. I all ready have a pair of shure SLC4's for portability and sennheiser 650's headphones for...- tufflitestudios

Ipod headphone jack repair?
The headphone jack on my wife’s 5th generation 30gb ipod appears to be loose. She thought that her headphones were broken because one channel was not working. I swapped out the headphones and had the same problem. If you push the headphone cable to one side where it enters the pod you can hear...- tufflitestudios

X5's battery life playing flac?
Does the X5 use more battery power playing flac than mp3? I have been disappointed with the battery lately and was trying to determine if it is the battery is loosing life or if playing flac had something to do with it.- tufflitestudios

Need an upgrade from iAudio5, but...
I love my X5. The battery last a very long time and I would have no need for the X5L. How long do you go with out charging? For me the bigger the better a hard drive can never be too big. Good luck.- tufflitestudios

Will X-Rays hurt my DAP?
I am flying in a couple weeks and was wondering if putting my I-Audio X5 through the x-ray machine will hurt it? For that matter would it hurt the memory card on a digital camera? Last time I went on a plane I was using DAT and film. If its an issue I could put the X5 and memory stick in the...- tufflitestudios
