I used the extenders with the V6 Vivids in the pre-amp (set to exclusive mode). A little hot glue allayed any movement worries. I am very happy with this setup.

I have the mesh pads and they were disappointing in comparison to the originals. Mine have completely separated around the inner circumference. If Fiio is out of stock, I'm guessing this is a very common problem. I'll email support as well.

It is not the best way to use it as it is limited to 16bit 44.1/48k . The optical does 24\192 and the coax does DSD64(DoP) and will TX those codecs over LDAC. The USB is the worst of the three.

I can also confirm that this does work and sounds splendid using LDAC TX (I tested the RX on Panda THX, the BTR5 and Fiio EH3).

The Drop THX Panda should be considered as best of breed. Coupling that with the Fiio BTA30 produces a very functional LDAC combo.

Not in my experience to date. RX and TX (and the DAC function) are isolated protocols. I did find something interesting. Using the ASIO driver, that came with my Asus Essence II, when using the coaxial (and not the optical) it will play DSD64 through LDAC!
