New Dragonfly Black and Red Discussion
Need some help please. Looked into the device description of my Dragonfly in my Windows 7 PC and pushed button "deinstall driver" due to problems with JRiver (someone gave the advice which obviously was no good though). Result was that Dragonfly works but device manager shows jellow...- GerMan

Fidelizer appreciation and impressions thread
Thank you for your answer, Keetakawee. Although not being really satisfying. I did not make any changes whatsoever in JRiver. Problem happened directly after first using of fidelizer which leads me to the result that fidelizer does not leave the pc system and programs in the status they were...- GerMan

Fidelizer appreciation and impressions thread
Hi, I'm having issues with fidelizer free version. After having used fidelizer and restarting my PC, I can no longer use JRiver without activating fidelizer again. Sound is twice the speed and distorted. I'm a bit irritated as the manual of fidelizer sais that all settings made by...- GerMan

Fidelizer appreciation and impressions thread
Hi, WindowsX, two questions please, 1. The fidelizer user guide (STEP 1) gives us some recommendations for foobar2000 settings. Can we also get same for JRiver MC please? 2. Will there be an option some day to switch on/off system optimization without doing a reboot of the computer...- GerMan

New Dragonfly Black and Red Discussion
Well, it's just my personal opinion after comparing it over days to Red with PC and foobar 2000/JRiver MC. Others may come to different conclusions. At least 1.2 it had been highly acclaimed by most pc users, online and print hifi magazines for yeras. The first reviews I read about the...- GerMan

New Dragonfly Black and Red Discussion
I also found the Dragonfly Red to be much too loud when using it with Windows PC, as it obviously was optimized for smartphone usage. I also was shocked when using it with PC and JRiver MC and foobar. Sent it back as obviously the new target group is no longer PC user as it was in former...- GerMan

All you say is that everyone has different hearing impressions as everyone has got different hearing surroundings and different headphones. First: I dont’t want to convince anyone, why should I? Second: I don’t want to say anything bad about Audioquest. Quite the contrary: I love my...- GerMan

Well, read posting 138, there you'll find my statement and that of another user to 1.2 vs. Red. Concerning Amazon (there you may occasionally find serious opinions From amazon.de Topic “Vergleich mit 1.2”...- GerMan

New Dragonfly Black and Red Discussion
When reading all the postings here it seems that more than 95% of Dragondly Red or Black owners bought the device in order to use it with their smartphones. So they mostly don't own the 1.2 and therefore can't compare to the sound of the 1.2. I did make a direct comparison over several days...- GerMan

Na, this must be a fun posting. Why is it important to you to hear native DSD when in the same time your concentration is on the game and not on music??- GerMan

New Dragonfly Black and Red Discussion
Well Steve, seems that the new Dragonflies are optimized to Apple products and smartphones in general. Using the Red with my Personal Computer (former target group of AQ) I find it a step back sonically compared to the Dragonfly 1.2. Everything seems to be a bit "too much", too much pressure...- GerMan

@ WhiteNoises: DAR_KO, DAR_KO, DAR_KO is all I read. Is he a hifi-good over there? Personally I trust MY OWN ears. Quite disappointed about the Red. For years, I heard with Dragonfly 1.2 and Jitterbug. Sound was much more transparent as with the Red which is louder, seems to have more...- GerMan

Well, there have been several points of criticism over the last two years, why should ifi not try to eliminate them? As there are f. ex. channel imbalance of volume knob (no, you can fix this and hold the sound quality at the same level, others can), plop when turning the volume knob on (you...- GerMan

Well I suppose you are right, Sonic Defender. Frustration seems to have come over me as it is said that micro idsd can drive ANY headphone. And perhaps that in a German Forum I was told micro idsd was not bright sounding (which it is in my and other people's opinions), combination with...- GerMan

Seems to be a conflict of objectives with AKG 702. It needs power to shine, but if I use normal or turbo setting (not eco) the volume knob turns quite left where the volume knob suffers problems with stereo balance. To get 11-12 o'clock volume knob wherer stereo balance is good ifi...- GerMan

Of course I studied the manual, I'm a manual reader ;-) Tried all combinations of filter/power switches. Turbo power not possible as I get to 8 o'clock at volume knob which is bad for channel balance. @oceandream1: try out Dragonfly, you would be astonished of its pressure and dynamics.- GerMan
