It was a bit sailing of course. Decided to upgrade my mainframe computer. New high-end case (Phanteks Enthoo Elite (around 920 euro's only, weights 33 kg without hardware), fans, radiator and a 1080ti evga ftw3 to top it of. It is one big RGB Rainbow s how. Back to saving for the speakers now :D

No, I have a Yggdrasil not a Gungnir. Yet the Gungnir Multibit and Yggdrasil share some similarities in the used circuit. The BifrostMB is better than the regular Gungnir. The GungnirMB is better than the BifrostMB. A Mjolnir 2 is better only when used in Balanced mode. The Lyr-2 or Valhalla-2...

The ISO Regen or Schiit Wyrd also act as power-hub right? Making sure that the power stays 5v on the USB-line? 

Got another computer in the house?  Try to connect it to that one. Some motherboards are having a lot of noise on the USB-ports and also have not stable 5-v power. Apple laptops mostly too. A schiit wyrd would help then. 

Try different usb port (3.0 instead of 2.0 or the opposite), change usb cable or use a usb-power-hub like the schiit wyrd. your pc-source is important too? Which motherboard? Apple? Try another pc-source too. 

I'm open minded to someone else their arguments/answers :). 

I think the Mutec has also USB galvanic isolation. Not sure if it would benefit. More connectors/cables in the chain too.

That's what I thought. The very expensive amps sometimes have AES XLR out (which is backwards compatible to analog, same with the cables. The speakers I plan to buy, have both inputs. Analog XLR and Digital XLR/AES.  Thank you for verifying it. Guess I could use the same type of Analog...

Just a quick question. The Preamp Balanced XLR outs are Analog only right?  (NOT AES DIGITAL).

To be honest. I think the Yggdrasil would be a better option for you. You would gain more from that decision.

It might be worth the wait of 5/6 days. I mean, I could continue listening on the Lyr2/Bifrost for those days. I rather wait a bit and buy some good cables then spend now 40 euro on some cheaper ones and upgrade later. Or pay 120 euro's or 150 euro's for the Vovox (depending Link/Sonorus) and...
