HD598 or SHP9500?
I'm actually borrowing the 598se from a friend right now. I find there to be too much bass for my music, but for gaming and rap, they're great. I'll probably get a pair of the SHPs to compare directly- TheKingOfDucks

HD598 vs SHP9500?
So, soon, I'll be looking for a new set of headphones. I've only ever used Turtle Beach and Tritton, but I am very educated in the audiophile community. I know my ****, but not from personal experience. I'm currently eyeing the SHP9500s and the HD598 SE. I can get them for within the same price...- TheKingOfDucks

Need help chossing dac/amp
Alrighty then. I would like to have a volume knob, but if the virtual surround sound is really worth it for gaming, would the xonar or sound blaster be better for the x1s. This is very helpful so far- TheKingOfDucks

Need help chossing dac/amp
So after a very, very long time of researching I've decided on getting the Fidelio X1. The next thing I need to do is find at least a dac for it. I don't know if it needs amplification seeing that it outputs 32ohms I believe, it may be 30. What would you guys recomend. I've looked at the Fiio...- TheKingOfDucks

from what I've hear on here they're very alike. I've never heard the 990s get. Called analytical before. Which would be better for the purposes I gave, if you don't mind?- TheKingOfDucks

Need help choosing first high end headphones
in Canada the X1 is close to 200 dollars more expensive. Is it worth that extra price of 170 dollars. If they are I'll get them- TheKingOfDucks

Need help choosing first high end headphones
If I'm getting the dt990 I'd rather the 250 ohm pro edition. The 32 ohm premium is significantly more expensive and I've heard doesn't sound as good as the 250 ohm. I will probably be pairing with a fiio e10k, but I am open to suggestions- TheKingOfDucks

Need help choosing first high end headphones
Thank you for that. I do know that the dt990 pro has a higher clamping force, smaller soundtage and more bass. Which would be better for my needs, the pro or the premium? Thanks- TheKingOfDucks

Need help choosing first high end headphones
I haven't really thought of a budget. I'm certainly not a bass head, I just want to be as immersed as possible in what I'm playing. My budget would probably be 250 dollars in Canada- TheKingOfDucks

Hi. I'm new on this site, but have browsed it for a while now. I am. Youtuber and want to be able to play the games I love in high quality, listen to music, and edit my videos daily.
