My spinfits came in just a few days ago, both large and medium, and I've been having trouble with the seal and trying to enjoy them. Last night I found that if I rotate them I somehow get a seal, but its in a strange position with the memory wire sticking out on my face, its not ideal and often...- cheep

Its definitely not just the volume, Ive been playing with the volume since I got the angies I was about ready to give up on them and sell them because they were that bad, switching to high gain made a big enough difference that I'm finally actually enjoying them now- cheep

I assume you mean change the volume so that it was similar what I was listening to on low gain? Yes. I also switched back and forth a few times to see if I could sense a difference. Also high gain 'seems' to be able to get louder without being as harsh/fatiguing as on low gain- cheep

It appears switching to high gain on my e12a improves sound quality a decent bit when listening to the Angies, I just assumed at 17ohm impedance they would sound better on low gain- cheep

Yeah I saw it, then saw limited to 75, and the number claimed was going up each time I refreshed the page... I usually do extensive research before I ever pay that much for something, but I figured worst case scenario I could always sell it easily at cost.. so.. impulse- cheep

The Angies have been sounding better to me in the past couple days; I switched to the large comply tips and turned the bass dials down, aswell as EQing a bit on my Fiio X5ii (but they also sound better on my non-EQd MBP), not sure how much these factor over 'mental-burn-in' I am finding an...- cheep

Quote: I love Angies bass, it's tight, fast, and punchy, whereas I found the 846s bass to be muddy and overpowering (maybe one of its other filters would change my mind), I don't understand why a basshead would prefer the latter I seem to be on a similar mission as you currently with...- cheep

I just google'd what sibilance is, and it seems to be describing exactly that 'S' hiss, so yes I am hearing more sibilance with the Angies than anything I've ever listened to music from before.. as you guys seem to find Angies having very low sibilance, do you think something may be wrong with...- cheep
