I was wrong: it doesn’t solve anything: after another start up Windows 10 didn’t recognize the SU-1… Now I pulled out the USB multi-adapter mentioned above, I’m optimistically convinced that it was causing the mess. I’ll keep you informed.

The driver by Holo works better for me, too (good sound and no clicks, no pops), but I still need to turn on the SU-1 at least once a day if I want it to continue to be recognized by Windows 10. If I don’t do that, I need to reinstall the driver whatever it is. Not sure if my trouble can be...
