Absolutely, you are correct. I happen to have just recently reviewed the Schitt EQ. Thanks.- Dman23

Should I get a Schiit Loki for my HE-400s?
If you're good with adding & an EQ in your audio chain, you certainly have good enough hardware, between your HPs and DAC/Amp, to hear and understand audio changes it may help with. I'm thinking about adding one to my M/M2U desktop system.- Dman23

Philips Fidelio X2?!
I highly recommend the X2 HPs; have had mine for roughly 18 months. The comfort is outstanding, which is as important as other HP parameters IMO. They are well built and easy to power and though I usually use different dac/amps I own, my Samsung Galaxy S5 Active does a good job when mating...- Dman23

Looking for a closed back headphone for home around 200$
From my personal HP experience and ownership of each closed back HP: * OPPO PM3 - Beautiful, isolating, accurate, very comfortable, well built, high ROI. * B/D DT770Pro - Comfortable, rugged, musical, isolated. * Sennheiser Momentum 2 - Comfortable, beautiful, musical, isolated, well built. *...- Dman23

Oppo HA-1 with Mac Mini HDMI/USB Conflict
Have to agree with amnesiac75....hence my admitted rant. "Ease of use", amongst the various, competing digital music product software / hardware MFGs, so that an entry level user with disposable income to a "veteran" user can quickly get up and going with their mobile device and their PC and...- Dman23

Koss Pro/4AAA - 70's vintage cans
A quick follow up... I suppose my original 1980s (I believe) 4aaa series HPs were in bad enough condition that they said, heck we can't help this guy, let's ship him something new. What I got were the green colored, TANK-like, Pro 4AA series which I admit are terrible. I own 7 HPs from HD700s to...- Dman23

Koss Pro/4AAA - 70's vintage cans
Thanks much. I should have updated this thread but they emailed me last Monday to say I could "have them repaired / replaced for $9 S&H". Don't further info other than that. Was going to do this since they are really unusable at the moment. I don't expect much but for $10 bucks.....- Dman23

Oppo HA-1 with Mac Mini HDMI/USB Conflict
THIS is the understatement of the year. I personally feel you have to be over 40 (before Windows) or so to appreciate this though. We ARE moving backwards in terms of (simple purchasable) reliable playback with high rez music over the past 36 months. Guys (and ladies), the current frequency of...- Dman23

Philips Fidelio X2?!
I concur with peter123, these are well balanced and a terrific value I should add. Truly considering, fit & finish plus value, these X2s are one of the higher ranking HPs out there IMO. I've been surprised and very happy since March and I own 5 other HPs including the HD700s. FWIW: I Use...- Dman23

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Volume Knob - This may have been brought up previouly but I'd like a volume knob on my Schitt boxes that have an improved grip, literally. An example of the "etched feel" that I'm referring to would be the VK surface of the HA-2 from OPPO. My Uber version of my M/M combo has the very smooth...- Dman23

Koss Pro/4AAA - 70's vintage cans
Evening all. Have an original set of the Koss Pro 4AAA Plus with all the old age symptoms described in this thread. Particularly the deflated earpads, stretched cabling. Am not sure if my connector is original. I may have repaired it myself in the 80s...literally can't recall but I've had these...- Dman23
