Danacable Lazuli Reference Thread
The Lazuli Ref did not diminish the bass, if anything i made it more impactful. Dynamics are nice also. The only downside would be the added weight of the copper cables.- cycle53x12

Danacable Lazuli Reference Thread
Great question. To start my first experience with the Lazuli was with my HD 800. I went from the stock single ended cable the balanced Lazuli. It seemed to calm the HD down some, (less sibilant) they seemed fuller too. I have always liked the HD 800 but i use EQ with mine to pull down the highs...- cycle53x12

Danacable Lazuli Reference Thread
I I picked up the Standard Lazuli for my hd800 at a great price used. Was pleasantly surprised that this cable could make that much of a difference. In fact the improvement was enough to get me looking for the Lazuli for my LCD4’s. Found a wonderful deal on a Lazuli Ref and i have to admit...- cycle53x12

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
I love the HD800, I recently added some balanced cables and just love the sound when driven with the right amp. Everything sounds so wide with the HD. Still a great headphone if you are willing to EQ than you can relieve some of the treble.- cycle53x12

Audeze LCD-4
I have both the HD800 and the LCD4 and i like them both, different for sure. HD is very spacious and wide and not quite a good a punch on the low end. But with the right EQ a very nice sound for instruments and female vocals. The LCD4 is less bright and takes a minute or two to get into when i...- cycle53x12

AUDEZE LCD XC
They seal really well. I use them when the wife is watching tv and I can barely hear any outside noise, and she cannot hear the music. They don't close out all outside noise but they do a very good job.- cycle53x12

ifI iCan Pro - Impressions & Discussion
Does anyone have any impressions of this amp with HD800 and Audeze LCD XC. I have been looking at this amp as well as the Auralic Taurus. I like the fact that the ifi ican has more adjustments to the sound. Also has this amp been reliable? Thanks- cycle53x12

I think the Sonarworks make the HD800 much more tolerant of my music collection. Before I would look for only really well recorded albums. Now I can enjoy more of my music collection without as much pain, and the good ones sound even better to me.- cycle53x12

Yea, the SE846 with Spinfit tips are just amazingly comfortable. Can wear them for hours. Some of these IEM's are so large and not sure I would be able to live with the size.- cycle53x12

Sonarworks Headphone Calibration software
I did the trial period. I thought I would wait when it ran out to buy it, but only lasted like 1 day before I had to buy it, it makes my HD800's sing! Waiting for other headphones to be added to the list of models they have a base line setup for. Pretty sure you will love it!- cycle53x12

Interesting about the cables breaking. Mine have not lived a charmed life but are still working great and my HD's are some of the Earlier ones. They do seem to be well made compared to the ones on the HD600,650 series.- cycle53x12

The Pono Player Impressions Thread
So I just got my new balanced cables from Surf cable. Was a little worried they may not match well with my Shure SE 846, but upon first listen I am pleasantly surprised with the sound quality. They sound fuller and very balanced with the new cables. The only thing I am worried about is the cable...- cycle53x12

The Pono Player Impressions Thread
So I checked the impedance on the SE846, and per Shures specs it is 9 Ohms. So these do not meet the recommended 8 times impedance calculation mentioned previously. Not sure (no Pun intended) if this is considered a hard fast rule, but the Shure are low impedance anyway you cut it. So my ears...- cycle53x12
