AUDEZE LCD XC

Hey there. I just received a 2018 LCD XC from a fellow Head-Fier. I was wondering what wood this was? I think it might be the Bubinga bc some of the Maple I've seen of this was a bit lighter. Also, I'm guessing the previous owner[s?] added the carbon headband bc I believe the XC did not come with this in stock configs, correct?
Mine has a black headband indeed.
Also, does anyone have access to a simple EQ profile that's rec'd for this era of XC?
I'm using the Audeze presets in Roon. If you don't have Roon you can look into the Audeze reveal plugin.
Only negative is that these really as heavy as everyone says.
Yes, they are heavy. I replaced the strap with an aftermarket version, which really helps in the comfort department:

Do you think the wood is Bubinga? Also, the reveal plug-in is $200!

I have the same headphones. I was offered to change the drivers to 2021 but I decided to keep my 2018 headphones as they are as I like the sound. I did not like the LCDX 2021 and I sold them. I have a pair of LCD3’s and LCD4’s which I enjoy. I have been a fan of Audeze headphones since 2010 with a pair of LCD2 Rev1 headphones. The XC’s are nice for closed headphones. Mine are Bubinga wood as well.

Sorry, I thought it was free, maybe that changed... But Roon is the better way imo.

I use the Audeze Revel. It was $50 off during the December sale they had. I used it for the trial period and really liked the way it dealt with the LCD XC and LCD 4’s i have. Sound really good, but the $200 was a little much. I also use Sonarworks on my HD 800’s i really like for them. Sorry, I thought it was free, maybe that changed... But Roon is the better way imo.

LCD-XC with Cayin RU6:

I am surprised how well the RU6 drive the XCs using the 4.4mm "balanced" output.

I made a new video review, this time about a heavyweight fighter, the Audeze LCD-XC!! It is one of the best headphones for mastering and mixing, but also for listening, but you know my videos, this is going to be a fun trip exploring my unfiltered thoughts and emotions on the planar tech that Audeze offers!!
