He probably meant from all the smartphone manufacturers lol, most people I know are basically unaware there are other headphone types which are good and "hip" (except Beats of course, which are super expensive here)

Can't believe it, but among the hordes of iBuds I saw today walking out of high school, I saw my mathematics teacher with Bose QC20s! Heard they're pretty decent, It's very exciting to finally see something other than iBuds and Beats all day.

I envy you so much... I'm a high school freshman, and my only sightings are Apple Earbuds and LG IEMs ("Quadbeats").

I always see Bose QC25s as well- they are ridiculously overpriced here in Israel- one can find them for 2000-2500 NIS, which translates to 500-625 USD. If you are lucky you can find them for 1500-2000...
