    Yea the r70x is more expensive with more refined sound...if you need this type of refinement. Intimate, i mean you feel closer to the performers. i think the msr7 just avarage about comfort and on the heavy side as a portable HP.

    I think the standard gain setup (2.5x, 6.5x) the safest choice. But look at the JDS FAQ The tube amps at this price range maybe not the best bet for mixing.

    The MSR7 is heavier than i like and the clamping force is more than average, but i would not say that is highly uncomfortable. Good for me up to an hour without pause. (oval headshape with average size)
