Congratulations!! I am proud owner of the similar unit too. I have it for 3 years from the resale market & I have replaced the lens 2 years ago. It's a good CDP by itself & if you decide to upgrade, you can use it as a transport for a good external DAC. Regards

Has anyone tried with DJ CD player using it as source or as a transport? I like the models from Technics, Pioneer or Denon which offer many nice features. It's quite a solid player and therefore as a transport could be OK. Regards

Sorry that if I have not made it clear earlier. Anyway, this is not due to blown fuse nor loosen connectors. The input to the DAC is OK as I said there is clear indication of "lock" signal shown on the unit but there is just no output. I have asked for the replacement DAC board to try out...

I also have a DAC2 for close to 6 months & I like it very much. I have just bought another new Storm D02 which is of NOS design and it gives another kind of sounding. IMO, DAC2 has gone through a lot of upgrading by Bel Canto & if there is a desire to want a better one, look out for DAC3...

End of the day, it's still better to have an external DAC of your choice with a standard SB3. Regards
