I use this cable with a nuforce dac that requires too much power on its on. I am using iPhone 7. The cable works great.

Sometimes I use the Onkyo app if I'm away from home. Most of the time I use the Plex app which allows me to stream anything I own (mostly dad,wave and flac). I have a less than $100.00 server made from a 1tb USB drive and a raspberry pi so I don't tie up my laptop. The plex app works great.

I did a lot of experimenting with commander one. The company worked with me and they were very helpful. I wrote up a little Manual with some help if things don't go smoothly. Even when there are issues with commander one (which are usually mac ds_store problems) it's still (IMO) light years...

Have you tried Commander Pro to transfer from a Mac to 240? It is a huge improvement.

I had the AK100II and now 240. My attempts to get a little more on the low end (Grado low end issues) the results were disappointing. I tried lowering all the other settings, presets Etc with no luck.

If you decide on the AK240 I have one in going to put up for sale. I love it but need the money.

If go to albums from the homespun screen, then look to the upper right hand corner of the screen. It should say all. If it says DSD then click DSD and select all from the next screen. I hope that helps.

The re-cabling of grados is possible. The possibilities/combos seem to be endless. I always make my own cables but in the end I'm not sure how much money i save when you consider a good soldering station and all the associated components. However i enjoy the process.
