Hello,

I'm looking to purchase an Astell & Kern DAP, but I'm deciding between a new AK320 or a used AK240, both of which are roughly the same price. Sound quality is my main (and perhaps sole) concern. I don't listen to DSD music, so I wouldn't use the native DSD technology that the AK240 has. So when listening to PCM, which DAP sounds better, the AK320 or the AK240?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Your best bet is to head to each dedicated thread and ask your question again.

You can find the source gear section here below.

Also use the dites search feature to find the AK240 and AK320 threads. Lastly, in any thread towards the bottom you'll find a 'search this thread' feature.

Use this to search keywords such as AK240 etc in each thread.

If SQ is what you want you might check out the Questyle QP1R. A lot of AK owners sold them and bought the QP1R after hearing it. Just a thought YMMV as always.
