i don't believe that anyone is saying they are not good or excellent, both the big dog Schiit DAC's are fantastic. the baby Schiit dac is so good that the differential between baby vs big dogs is small so for the value for performance ratio is with baby MB Schiit thats all  i love the Schiits MB...

The amp has a massive impact too as big as the dac IMO

I would like to improve my source however, I need a company like Schiit to make my Schiit so it focuses on the Schiit that is needed not irrelevant Schiit, however, bimby has almost made me source agnostic, there was very little to choose between cocktail audio x10, mac mini + VOX or the winoze...

apart from the Schiit MB DACs has anyone  heard another one just as good or better for around 500 to 1000 usd. I would love to see how good competition might be

i have red that, what i need is,  as  I already have the 2 channel covered, therefore the next step for the DAC's, a big Sys thingy and a multi wryd thingy is what i need from Schiits 

I have recently upgraded my bifrost to MB and I love the SQ and I cannot see how they could improve this for the money that is why I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what the Schiits are upto in the Schiit hole
