The engine will overpower your music for sure! I wear closed headphones on the bus w/decent isolation and the sound still gets a quite drowned out.

As a user of the DT 660, I would love to try the T1! Basically the consensus about the T1 is that it has nearly no coloration. Some people think it is boring because of that, but for acoustic music that should be perfect.

I think that compared to the 660, the bass is too forward. I have not listened to them much, though. They do have the advantage of being portable.   In the portable headphones market, I think the Martin Logan Mikros 90 are worth a try if you enjoy the DT 660. I got them when they were on sale...

Just recently repurchased my DT 660s. Here is to hoping they don't break again.

I have never used it with an amplifier, but it plays at a pretty hefty volume and clarity right out of a mobile phone or soundcard. They are definitely efficient enough for the approximately $150 price tag you find on amazon.

I have seen the Parrot Zik being used in my school. It is the only time I have seen it in person. The guy wearing them was studying, and I did not see it fit to strike up a conversation.

Just thought I'd post an update to this thread. I have had these for a few months now. I love the sound, but they broke on me. I thought the build quality was good, but they broke through normal use. I don't think anything I've ever done with them that was beyond what they're designed for...

The Sennheiser HD 600/650 does not look like a premium headphone. They are made almost entirely of plastic that does not scream "high end" to me. I know this is kind of the flip-side of the question, but this is what came to mind.
