Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5
That basically it. I am going for 7550/1000 instead of this. It kinda confirmed my short experience with it, I found the bass too much, although it sound more control than H3 it is still too much for me. ...- mark9104

Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5
I think the guy is quite respected in that forum and if I remember correctly, he has been reviewing for a long while but what he said did seems to differ quite a lot from others. in short basically he said it is a piece of trash, actually A3 as well lol Would wait for some more in depth...- mark9104

Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5
Thanks Thatonenoob, looking forward to your review. Am very happy with my xba 30 and have been itching for an upgrade for a while, but the H3 for me is a disappointment so I am eagerly waiting for the next flagship.- mark9104

Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5
had a very short try in their showroom last weekend (since the salesperson has her eye glue on my back, probably because the earphone cost 6k HKD and I looked like a bum). Since surrounding was very noisy and I didn't had a chance to really listen to it, that's not a lot I can add, however I...- mark9104

New HTC One M8 audio review
I personally only heard crackle once or twice when I go real loud, like 80% of the volume and man it is really really loud. For my case it was a single crackle like a pop. Am using XBA30.- mark9104

Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5
Oh no....I was close to buying the H3 when price starts to go down but after listening to it twice I just can't take the bass. I found it to be very bloated in mid bass and I am not a basshead. End up sticking with my xba30. Thought I would waited for Z5 in hope it would be a replacement for...- mark9104

New HTC One M8 audio review
Been using poweramp since SGS2 days (as the built in one sucks). I like it, sound good with a lot of tweak for those into it. Support most formats out there, lyrics as well- mark9104

New HTC One M8 audio review
Have the M8 for 2 days. A step up for sure over my old Sony Xperia V, with darker background and better dynamic range. Sound signature is on the warm side and I found it to be slightly V shape, treble can gets a bit overbearing with my XBA30 when at higher volume. Output is very powerful...- mark9104

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)
not sure I understand their marketing strategy at all...throwing out 2 cheap hybrids just months after they dished out the AX60, with such a huge price difference Edit: I was referring to Astrotec, pressed reply instead of quote to an earlier post- mark9104

There is a new astrotec hybrid coming out, the AX30, which is priced at a ridiculously low 300 RMB (around 50USD), single armature + single dynamic driver- mark9104

The Fiio X5 Thread
First post ever on headfi after reading for a while. As a Chinese yes I have to confirm what had been said, if you think so called elitism is bad on head-fi, it is x 10 in China site (not saying all of them are but surely it is very divided), it is either super pro-Chinese, where anything...- mark9104
