Holding the FFWD / REW button does work but is a little slower than using the click wheel. Maybe it would be nice if the scrolling accelerated when the buttons were held for longer.

I second that. I can spin the wheel pretty fast but I get the feeling that I'm going to wear it out kinda quickly doing this. Maybe this will be addressed in a future firmware upgrade? Perhaps use the skip track buttons for letter selection then the wheel for the artist/album?

So what would you recommend to go with AKG K550 headphones? Both the HRT and Meridian get good reviews but is the Meridian worth the extra money?   Also, what kind of audio files are you guys using?
