My gear: xperia x compact + chord mojo + hrt microstreamer. I keep what I posted earlier: The sound got worse after the last two updates.

The sound signature changed with these latest updates. My dacs sounds brighter and thiner now, more treble, less mids and bass. I want my bass and mids back! :triportsad:

I had the hair issue with my two DT 770s (80 and 32ohm). Everything fine with DT 1990 since october 2016.

Music is my passion. I never had the chance to try a planar magnetic, they are hard to find in my country. So, I hope to have the amazing hifiman experience someday.

The bass on 1770 hits harder, but 1990 is brighter and have a more open sound. Read the headfonia review for the DT 1990. Lieven explains all you want to know about these two beyers.

Microstreamer is on the bright side. After 15 hours the sound changed, more bass, less treble. I'm enjoying it pretty much!  

My dac is the HRT Microstreamer amped by JDS Labs C5 (bass boost on).

My DT 1990 arrived this evening. First impressions: detailed, slightly v-shaped, nice soundstage, bass is tight, detailed but it seems light compared to my DT 770 PRO LE and even with my DT 150. Just as Lieven said on his headfonia review, it may not be the best choice for who are looking for...

I enjoy microstreamer (pc/smartphone) but may be too bright in some tracks.

DT 770 is a less refined DT 1770. The treble may be excessive sometimes with my HRT microstreamer.

I already have a DT 770 PRO LE and the DT 150. I guess an open one now would be great!
