Interestingly it sounded so much different with electostatic. It had less metallic sound and more warminesh or smoothed treble. Not sure if I liked this one the best combo for electostatics. I need to go to the second or third round for e-stats only :)

@Svperstar I haven't heard or experienced any problems with Ifi iESL. Fully transparent too. It gets expensive also because you need a good stereo amp. My system cost about the same as Phantom. But you get Balanced IN>OUT and can use dynamic headphones. If I could just find used EHA5 somewhere...

What amp? Cheap aliexpress perforated angled leather pads have more U-shaped sound. More bass and less midrange.

You can lower treble few db easily with steel mesh front of the driver and still keep frequency response smooth. On bass heavy songs you may not get desired sound level. Dynamic and planar you can get more volume until the sound gets very distorted.
