DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread

yes it's MMCX. and my mistake, it's the SE535, Have you used lunashop's cables? I want something of good quality (at least as good as the stock) that will last, preferably without the terrible memory wire that makes it impossible for me to wear these comfortably. I would like to get into cable...

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread

As someone who's just done simple headphone mods (putting panelmount RCA or 1/8" F connectors in headphones to replace a broken cable) how realistic do you think it would be for me to make a new cable for my Shure SE535? I've looked into it a little but can't seem to find anything but crimp...

Custom mold for SE535 custom sleeves question (impression & fit?)

I was on Sensaphonic's site and sent an email to an audiologist. They replied back asking if I just wanted impressions done, or if I wanted impressions and fit done. What exactly is the fitting they would do, and is it worth having them do so for me?   email reply was:   Are you looking to...

    se535 shirt clip

Hi,   anyone know a good shirt clip that would fit around the wire that comes with the SE535? Seems a little bit larger circumference than the IEMs I've had before.   Thanks!

    Recommendations for SE535

1.5 years for a cable sounds pretty good to me. I saw a lot of people tend to suggest silver cables for it though, can't find any for under 200 that any people recommend.

    Recommendations for SE535

I recently purchased the SE535 after finding them on massdrop. Previously I've owned the Klipsch s4 (original edition, not the s4 IIs), and then the RHA MA750. For over-ears, which I use mostly at my desk at work, I have the Audio Technica ATH-M40x with a fiio E6 amp that came with my brother's...

static/clicking noise when walking RHA MA750

Check my previous post, I did. I needed something with good noise isolation, build quality, and sound quality. my s4's were exceptional in the first 2, and acceptable for sound quality.

static/clicking noise when walking RHA MA750

I don't plan to purchase from them again, but these are $120 headphones and I don't buy headphones very often. as i said my Klipsch were 3 years old and still working just fine, I don't like what i've heard about their new cables but I may still buy another pair since they're more comfortable...

static/clicking noise when walking RHA MA750

Hi everyone, I purchased the RHA-MA750 to be used with iphone 5 with recommendations from here for a replacement for my klipsch s4 (old version). I would be satisfied with them, but static buildup making a shocking or clicking noise as i walk makes these almost unusable. my first pair was...

Audio Technica ATH-M40x: The Little Brother that Could

I work at a store that deals with audio technica. The display has m20-m50 and m20x-m50x on display on a distribution amp for customers to come in and check out. While i personally preferred the slightly more bass-heavy m50x's over the m40x's, it was very slight and not a tough decision picking...

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Hi all, would like recommendations. i have a budget of around $100 USD, but it can go a little higher if it's truly worth it.   i had the klipsch s4's for the past 3 years but recently lost them. while i was satisfied with them i realize there are better options.   the genres i listen to...

    computer speakers on a budget

definitely a great set up for the price. just finished and i'm definitely happy with what i got for what i paid for. they may not be audiophile grade but i didn't expect that for what i could afford and wouldn't make much of a difference with the number of lossy formatted music i have. lyrics...

    computer speakers on a budget

Quote: thanks for the suggestion, but my computer isn't used often for listening to music, so this should suffice. and if you've heard rappers like common market and blue scholars, not all (at least the good stuff in my opinion) rap is bass heavy, nor are many breakbeats

    computer speakers on a budget

okay, they seem to be good speakers. and the wire and cable's not a problem as i can get those from work. thank you. are they  currently on sale or do i have time to decide before buying?

    computer speakers on a budget

I'm on a very tight budget as i'm heading to college soon, but i would really like a decent pair of speakers (2.0 would probably be cheaper, i dont mind lack of bass as long as it's still somewhat there). what i'd like is just an upgrade from the built in speakers off my 32" tv i'm using as a...
