Can someone give me some insight on the longevity of the ear pads? The old model had ones that basically petrified after a months worse of use. Is this the case with this newer model?

How do these compare to their wireless brother in terms of sound?

I just bought a pair few days ago. Went with the BT version and they sound better than what I remember. Very punchy tight bass, with amazing clarity through Bluetooth. In fact, I feel that they sound better wireless. If only they weren't so damn huge they'd be perfect for walking around campus...

Does anyone know how these compare to their silver, wired counterpart? I'm making a decision whether to try these out again or not.

THe  I'm positive the headset if just fine.   Where as to me they sound less detailed, they certainly upgraded the build quality. I can only wonder how long the alcontara (Think I spelled that right?) Where as the QC 15's padding is known to flake off if you have fairly greasy hair.

Sound is fairly decent this far. Not sure if it improves after some breaking in as my ears get more used to them. As of now they sound identical to my soundtrue pair.

Just got an office job and have been using their predecessor for the last year. Would you say it's worth the upgrade? Nice I put on sound btw, if they are more detailed than the 15's it's a done deal. It's nice to see more people reaching out and seeing that most bose bashers are full of it...

Tested them at best buy, gotta admit when they make demo tracks sound decent you know its gonna be a great headphone. They're bass is deep but tight and the treble and vocals were still very much so present.

Hmmm I might have to check if they were :p lol. They sound good nonetheless and would be a great phone to hVe since I use a public bus every day to get too and from college. My only gripe is if I have to crank up the volume a bit more, but only buying them and testing will tell.

How loud are these phones? At the best buy demotable I had to pump the volume almost up to full on my iPhone to get an enjoyable level. Do they improve in volume after burn in?

Currently listening to Stereo love with them on through iPod 5th gen. and couldn't be happier.

I can only hope they continue upping their game now that Apple has bought the business.....
