I second warrenpchi that you'd want a closed-back pair of headphones for travel purposes.   Are you after full-size or on-ears? Full-sizes are generally more bulky but offer greater isolation and comfort (IMO).   I also find that (although you may not) the elastic headband design feature...

The LP2s are great and better than the LP IMO.   It still has the bass but is less muddy and is slightly lighter-sounding. Not to say these are light-sounding headphones though.   The V-Modas generally have a warm sound signature.

Beats Solo HD.   Strictly speaking it came with my phone, but it was part of the purchase nonetheless.   I would've preferred to have gotten a discount and not get the headphone.

What would be a nice gaming headset for under $200?   I'm looking for one with a good mic.   Surround-sound would be nice, but not necessary and I prefer wired to wireless.

The Sony XB-700s are fantastic.   They have nice deep bass (less boomy than the XB-500s) and good clarity overall for the highs.

I've only listened to it once for around 10 minutes.   Needless to say, I was reluctant to take it off.

What would be an ideal all-around EQ for the AKG Q701?   I'm curious as to what EQ other Head-Fiers are using with this.

Is it worth the price? I'm also wondering whether it'll add clarity, bass or volume.   I like how it is very light and quite small in size, which is convenient for me.
