That's what I found too. Much less to almost no sibilant treble compared to the v1

Also I've noticed a bit of soud difference. Not too sure if it's just me or because they still have not been run in? But they do sound pretty nice upon first listening. Not as piercing in the top end to my ears compared to the v1.

Got mine today and no quality control issues and both drivers work perfectly. So far the sound is quite different compared to mine other Adorama v1 pair. Interesting.... In a good way.... :)

Is it worth for me to try and take the grills off the cups for sound?

The He6ses do not like tube amps from my experience. They like nice powerful SS amps. So far I have found them paired best with the Schiit Vidar.

I've also just ordered a pair of these v2s. Apparently according to their product information. The v1 is OPEN back and the v2 has CLOSED back. The cup colour is also blue with different headband compared to the v1 which has black colour cups. Unless they have put down the wrong information for...

Thank you for sharing your valuable opinions. That's why I love a forum like this! :) Have you tried the Qutest or TT2 with the Mscaler? Perhaps the sound may change with the Mscaler?
