Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
THANK YOU! That's exactly the answer I was looking for! Clear and convincing. Now I know why it costs more! Hurray! And you should work for Schiit LOL I just bought an Asgard 2 on headphonebar.com (If it wasn't for Canada customs ******** and ridiculous exchange rate I would've chosen...- Fighterboy89

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
OK so if I understood correctly all these little things add up to provide a superior subjective listening experience and I assume better measured sonic performance even though the listed specs for M2U and A2 are almost exactly the same within reasonable margin of error? Like if you were to put...- Fighterboy89

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Magni 2 Uber is also fully discrete. But anyway can you explain some of that terminology? I know that Class A amps are always ON and have the best linearity and that might explain why it sounds better (theoretically and whether that's audible or not is another discussion). But what does fully...- Fighterboy89

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
I know you're going to hate me for asking this but I was considering the Asgard 2 for a while now but after reading the spec sheet for the Magni 2 Uber. I was like: Whaaa? Why would I buy the Asgard 2 now? Is there an Asgard 3 in the works? (I know you hate this question too xD) I just want...- Fighterboy89

Mission Impossible?
Oh that's interesting, ight. The fidelio's are the last open headphone i give chance because tbh, I'm kind of desperate at this point and closed ones are not THAT bad I might have exaggerated with my requirements lol silly me niche freak Thanks again man, I'm stoked for the 4th time now...- Fighterboy89

Mission Impossible?
I tried the lower ohm version of the DT 880, the highs sounded weird, can't describe it and tight ******* clamp lol!! Like the Senn HD 500 and 600 series, except I could bend the black metal on my HD 600 easy.- Fighterboy89

OMG, I just checkout reviews for the X1 and X2. I really hope the sound is what the reviews are saying. I'm adding these two on my list for now. Honestly, those two pairs seem to be the only that fit my specific criteria so far.- Fighterboy89

Woah, the Fidelio X1 looks nice! Thanks!! I'm just curious how does it compare to HE-400? Because I think from my personal experience nothing beats planars when it comes to bass. They just sound so good and they're so fast.- Fighterboy89

Mission Impossible?
Once upon a time, I bought Maxell AMP-B blue headphones and I love the sound but hate the ergonomics. Then I became an audiophile and bought the FiiO E10K and the Schiit Asgard 2. No regrets so far. In my search for the perfect headphone, it came down to 2 (or 3). Being praised so much...- Fighterboy89

Wow, thanks for the reply guys. I didn't think that connecting an "amped" signal into speakers would ruin the sound. Ordering an adapter ATM.- Fighterboy89

Am I hallucinating?
OK so here's the deal: When I was introduced to the world of hi-fi, I was overwhelmed. Fixed up my music library and the minimum bit rate mp3's are now at least 192kb/s for pop whatnot, masterpieces and epic TV/movie scores 320 or nothing. Also being a PC gamer, I wanted to get great sound...- Fighterboy89

Quote: Umm, well I figured I would go on Apple's iPhone 4 specs page and just read the impedance for the headphones that are included with it as reference :P http://support.apple.com/kb/SP587 Quote: Ok, I'll consider the SRH840 for sure. Quote: Ok, so it...- Fighterboy89

Quote: Nevermind, I feel dumb for not doing my research. The SRH440's also need an amp because they are above the iPhone 4's amp rating. Since I won't be using an amp, I can forget about the Shure SRH440 and the Ultrasone HFI-2400. Therefore, last perfect option that really respects...- Fighterboy89

Quote: I've heard from an elder that the Sony's are timeless, but he hasn't told me f they need an amp. So the Ultrasone will sound weak if I rely on the iPhone's amp? And the Shure 840 need an amp too? So from what I understood, the SRH440's don't sound good regardless if I use an amp...- Fighterboy89

Alright so far so good, the following are the headphones that meet my criteria I posted previously for the hunt of the perfect pair: - Ultrasone HFI-2400 (recommended by a member of head-fi) - Sony MDR-CD2000 (A LEGENDARY GEM I FOUND ON HEAD-FI) - Shure SRH440 (based on my own...- Fighterboy89

Portability I'm ok with anything. Ok so I'll take good plastic. All purpose, I just need natural purist sound no mods no enhancements no equalizing and no amps. And I heard open cans have better sound do the ones you suggest seem good. Does this pair u suggested confirm with all conditions so...- Fighterboy89

Sorry I was disconnected by my ISP for a week that's why I didn't answer. Ok so I'm basically looking for all rounded all purpose clean sound. No enhancements, just the way it's suppose to sound. I'll be using for music, gaming, movies, webcam, etc. eveything. And regular use with standard...- Fighterboy89

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I've been looking for THE PERFECT PAIR OF HEADPHONES for quite a while but can't seem to find anything. What I'm looking for I think is quite niche. And if you read further, it might sound like I want the Beats Pro, and they are perfect for me except for two things...- Fighterboy89
