About the Burson v5i itself...is it possible to detach the metal lid from its main components? I personally don't feel confident about pushing the flanking capacitors outwards due to the amount of space the opamp takes up.

Well I have a 2014 Macbook Pro which does have a mediocre soundboard. But the one thing I do notice right off the bat is a more aggressive treble from the XD-05...

For the record, does anyone here have the knowledge of whether all of the housing of the Ambient are of the same dimensions? I wouldn't be surprised if the 12 driver variant is even bigger than both the XBA-H3 and the Noble universals, considering that it features a membrane.

There's one thing that has me puzzled. If this valve allows pneumatic and harmful pressure to escape from the inner cavity of the IEM and allow ambient noise to enter, does the small port in almost every single dynamic driver earphone also serve the same purpose?

About the Universal...can you link me to the site where they mention about the driver configuration. There aren't any specifications on the main website.
