Yeah, like the Q701s (and I expect all the 700 series) they are not going to sound very good through an iPad or iPod.  The 62ohm rating is quite misleading as these cans need quite a lot of current to really open up.  They sound very nice through my Geek Out 720 or my Project Sunrise.

You should pick up some Phiatons. I have the last gen of there  BT/Noise Canceling Ear buds and have been quite pleased with them.

Try a Geek Out 720 or 1000. I ha e the 720 and it will push my Q701 to ear-shattering volumes.

I can confirm a similar issue with the x3. It locks into my iPhone pretty securely but with the x3 it can get dislodged fairly easily.

Has anyone tried these with a FiiO X3 and if so how's the pairing.  I know my Geek out 720 and upcoming Pulse XFi will easily drive them but it's nice to be able to walk around with them too.
