They can make some good stuff.  For $200 I'm willing to bet AKG will not let their reputation get tarnished because they are making stuff in China. We shall all find out soon.

 
 
Good points, except it's already been happening for a while now. Tons of AKG and other products have moved production to China and for the most part it's been a smooth transition. Politics aside, there's little to worry about in terms of quality.

Most definitely. I would not question their ability to deliver very high quality. It very much depends upon their customer I guess. But I think this whole thing is kind of high-profile PR for AKG/Harman, so they won't let that slip.

Germany isn't exactly CONUS and I'll also totally get into trouble with customs.
Wouldn't surprise me if I'll have to pay an extra $60+ customs fees
