The X1 was released not so long ago at a price of $400. It's now very close to $200. Why? Is Philips preparing to replace it, or is Phillips just that nice. The L2 shouldn't be replacing it.

Trying to make my MA900 have a detachable cable via XLR (3 pin). The problem im having is installing the XLR input port into the headphones. I haven't bought the port yet so I'm not sure how to solder it to the MA900's drivers. How bout XLR VS RCA vs AUX cable?

It seems like closed cans in general aren't suited for j-rock/rock. They're for the most part just dark. The kef m500 nor k550 did it for me. Sure I can enjoy it, but the instrument separation and overall speed isn't there. I've looked at the K545 and T51p. Hp50 doesn't look flat enough for me...

I like the x1 but the pads aren't replaceable. Q701 seems good but I don't know if it has enough bass. I have the ma900 and they have the perfect amount of bass. Is the q701 easily eq able? Speed and presentation are my main priorities.
