[REVIEW] TDK IE800 - Another Winner From TDK

I seem to disagree with the OP. I own both IE800 and BA200, after a couple of AB listening sessions, I find the BA200 to be bassier. Which is really weird considering it is a BA and not a dynamic IEM like the IE800. However, I do want to point out that the BA200 is inserted deeply thus giving a...

Future Sonics Atrio MG7 Review and Appreciation thread

Quote: Comparing MG7 to gr07 Bass edition is like comparing a limousine to monster truck.  They are that different.    The Atrio is fun the gr07 is flat (yes even the bass ed).

    Show us your vintage headphones!

What I meant was the 8 ohms is very very low.  A lot of amps have impedance which is 5x of that.   LCD2 has 32 ohms but still needs a decent amp to "sing".   It seems likely to be a paper-cone the driver inside looks more like a tweeter than a headphone driver.  It lacks bass and I did...

    Show us your vintage headphones!

I have some Onkyo H-03A, can't find any information on them.     Pads are the velour from Fa-003.  I checked the drivers and can't seem to remove them. Last but not the least they have ridiculous impedance of 8.  It's very tough to drive them too.  :

Future Sonics Atrio MG7 Review and Appreciation thread

Quote: Really, I don't see any holes or ports for the air to get out.   The medium is too big to my "virgin ears" everytime I get a new IEM I look for the smallest tips and they always seem to fit the best.  The foam tips are too mushy and uncomfortable to my liking.  Though the...

Future Sonics Atrio MG7 Review and Appreciation thread

I just got this IEM, currently burning it but the driver flex is very noticeable.  Sometimes the sound is completely cut off.  I am having a very hard time finding the right fit.  Although I know for sure that the smallest double flange is the tip to use in my ears.  Does anybody experience this?

From HD 598 to HD 700: worthwhile or not?

Having tried the 598, 600, 650, 700 and 800 I actually loved the 700 the most.    Take note that I am very sensitive to harsh treble and I found the 800 to have the worst treble.  I used it with Burson Conductor, I expected a lot for a flagship headphone.  The 700 was the best among the...

    V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Reviews

I'm pretty sure my e10 is more than capable than the best android device there is. (not that I am belittling the owners)    Sigh, looks like I need to purchase another set of cans just to maximize the asgard.  But the m80 is personally the best portable for me.  It's literally the whole...

    V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Reviews

I'm currently using this along with a Fiio E10 and Schiit Asgard, I am not hearing a lot of difference compared to using the e10 alone.  Is the M80 not that amp friendly or it's just efficient already?

    New AKG Headphones "By Tiësto"

He could have given him an m80 or LP2 custom colors like the ones he had been giving away to some other artists that are using his cans.   Or AKG/Harman gave Tiesto lots of money.

    Superlux Express Train

I have a 631 and it's extremely painful to the ears. The pads are just too thin to the point that the drivers are the ones making contact to my ears. Will the WOW pads fit?

OVER-PERFORMING, OVER-ACHIEVING Headphones/IEMs for their price range. Top cost effective cans/IEMS

IEMs: TDK EB950 and BA200. These guys punch way above their weights.  EB950 is one of the best dynamic earphones I've tried and BA200 is simply stunning for a dual balanced armature at less than 150 USD that can sound this good. Vsonic Gr06 and Gr07 the package included when you buy these...

Superlux HD 631 DJ Headphone ~

The usual superlux mods won't work because this is a closed can. I have a big head and pointy ears which is quite a problem.  The wings are actually quite effective for me since the upper part of my head doesn't hurt.  However I think that the pads are of very mediocre quality

Superlux HD 631 DJ Headphone ~

I also have these cans. I will post a review in a while comparing them with m50 and Superlux 668b.  Bought them in the same shop as the OP did.  I can't say that they are really DJ headphones.  Overall sound is similar to audio technica m50 (personal opinion).  Very uncomfortable for me, wearing...
