    New Apple IEM Review (feat. ER-6i)

    I just got a set of these today (they were impossible to find for the previous two weeks in the Colorado market, literally selling out minutes after the local stores got a shipment). I have a set of SE530 that I really enjoy listening to, but I wanted something less expensive to use with my...

    Worried about Shure reliability (E500)?

    I wanted to get some feedback from other members here after a recent scary situation with some Shure E500s that I purchased. The headphones were purchased brand new in September from a reputable reseller and were definitely brand new in the factory packaging, etc. The date code indicated that...

    removing the smell of smoke from headphones?

    Well, I think the point is, with 60% or more of people being non smokers, and quite a few smokers not smoking in their homes, it would probably be courteous for smokers to mention on their ads if they smoke... but, buyer beware, you can ask THEM too.

    Or maybe someone could answer the question about cable stiffness I asked 2 pages ago before this thread devolved into a furball.

    What do you think of this.....SE530 / UE10

    Anything over 85dB can cause tinnitus or hearing loss if you listen long enough. Virtually everyone listens at 85dB or more unless they've already experienced some hearing loss. My own hearing loss is in the upper mid-range where I have a -3 to -6dB dip. So. I don't think that the E500...

    Eaah! Just got a pair of Shure SE530s. What gives?

    Hi guys, just got my E500s that I acquired from bobsound1 on eBay today. So far I am really liking them. Coming from E4C I noticed a much more 'vibrant' sound to them, I definitely prefer them... I've been trying them with the black Shure tips and the short Comply ones. One thing I am not...

    *******it Shure

    All it takes is a small amount of residual moisture in your ear canal to make a complete seal with the soft rubber of the IEM tip for this type of thing to happen. Shure even has instructions for slowly twisting the earbuds as you remove them to prevent this from occurring. I'm not sure...

    Silicone tips at retail?

    Some guitar center stores carry them and maybe any other musicians type shop. Your best bet is to call music supply stores that sell Shure headphones.

    removing the smell of smoke from headphones?

    eric is right. the problem is that there is residue on all of the plastic. You can hose it down with some citrus based cleaner, but even that is unlikely to remove it completely as it will have seeped into every nook and cranny of the housings. Keep in mind that when someone smokes it up...

    Black Shure Foamies vs. Comply tips?

    Comply claims that the gray tips are good for about 3 months of regular use. Based on this I've ordered two 5-packs of them from Earphonesolutions. I will order a 5 pack of the Shure tips too. I guess at the end of the day there's nothing better than doing your own direct comparison.

    Shure E4C--> Super.fi 5 Pro upgrade worthwhile?
