Thank you for the reply. I was unaware that you get the best sound quality by playing at 100% on windows and controlling the volume with my FiiO. Thank you again.- Michael1026

This is the most annoying thing. It's only happening on this computer. I'm on windows 8 with a FiiO E10.- Michael1026

[Impression] FiiO E10
I have a question. If I go to playback devices, my E10, properties, then advanced, I have an option for "Default Format". It's currently at "2 channel, 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD quality)". Should I change this? Or leave it how it is?- Michael1026

That's actually what I listen to. I'll definitely consider it. Edit: one more question. What's the difference between the Focus Pad-a and just the Focus Pads?- Michael1026

I wanted to buy some new pads, and I'm curious which ones you guys would recommend. Also, if someone could link me to a reliable site to buy them from, that'd be much appreciated.- Michael1026

Need in-ears similar to Bose IE2's
I'd consider in-ear as long as they didn't fall out easily.- Michael1026

Need in-ears similar to Bose IE2's
I like the build of IE2's and Apple's where they sit in your ear rather than pushing them in, and they never fall out. Can anybody recommend headphones with good quality, for rock, between $70-130. I already have a small amp, E6, if needed.- Michael1026

Looking for some noise-canceling headphones
I'm liking the Polk Audio Ultrafocus 8000s. According to the reviews, they have great sound, great active noise cancelling, and they're really comfortable.- Michael1026

Looking for some noise-canceling headphones
First off, I apologize if there's a thread for headphone recommendations. I looked at the original thread for them, but it's been closed. Anyway, I need some headphones mainly for school, but for home too, that I can sit there in silence and hear little to nothing. They don't have to have...- Michael1026

Buying portable or in-ear headphones? Seeking guidance? DON'T START A NEW THREAD. Ask for advice HERE!
Thank you a lot for the reply. I like the looks of the HiFiMAN HE-400, but they're open back. It's not a huge deal that they are, but I wouldn't be able to use them in school. I actually might get those and keep my HD25's as a portable set. Once again, thanks a lot.- Michael1026

Alright, I posted this in the full-sized headphone section, but I also wouldn't mind if it was portable (NOT IEM's.) so I'm posting it here hoping to get a suggestion. I'm looking to upgrade my HD25-1 II's. I'm looking to spend no more than, (maybe a tiny bit more) $350. I listen to bands such...- Michael1026

I'm looking to upgrade my HD25-1 II's. I'm looking to spend no more than, (maybe a tiny bit more) $350. I listen to bands such as Rise Against and Breaking Benjamin, but also listen to a lot of acoustic songs. I like punchy bass for drums, but I don't want a ton of bass. What would you guys...- Michael1026

I have a friend looking for bass heavy headphones with a price range of $300 including an amplifier. He does not want IEM's, but headphones that are somewhat portable. He listens to a wide variety of music, from dubstep to country. What would you guys recommend? Thanks.- Michael1026
